Too Good To Be True

Chapter 9

Seo's Pov:

Did he just say that he'll see me soon?

Seo took the time to slowly walk back to her car and process what had just happened.

She knew that she just met up with one of the most famous idols, Kim Taehyung. She talked with him. She was literally less than two feet away from him. He HELD her hand at the concert. And he had said these exact same words to her: 'Well Chun Seo Yeon... I'll see you soon'

How crazy is that?! No one would believe her.

While Seo rode to her workplace, she thought of how Rae would press her to spill the tea when she had time to call her. These past few days have been really crazy and unbelievable. I feel like this is just a dream. Who knew going to a concert would lead me to meet one of my favorite idols??

Seo arrived in less than twenty minutes and was early. However, she knew she couldn't spend the free time on her phone. After being absent for a week, she had to start early so that her boss wouldn't think she was annoying. She knew that working at a restaurant was normal work, but since she missed out, she had to work extra shifts to make up. Even though her boss knew that she could easily pass out if she was too hydrated, he didn't care. He was an obnoxious, annoying dweeb of a human being, but working at the restaurant meant good pay. She promised that she would try to find a better job in the future.

"Hello," Seo greeted when she walked through the back employee door. The other workers nodded at her and went back to what they were doing.

She had been working at the restaurant for almost a year and for some reason the other workers did not like her a lot, except for one good friend. Her life at the restaurant was not the definition of fun but she had no other choice if she wanted to earn money.

"Hey Jae-eun," Seo said as she put her belongings away.

"Heyyy haven't seen you here for forever what happened?" Jae-eun replied, giving Seo a little hug.

"Boss didn't tell you" Seo questioned Jae-eun, shaking her head in response. "Tch. Of course he wouldn't. Guess he dislikes me that much. Well, I had to go to the hospital for a few days because I fainted."

"Really?? Oh my gosh are you okay??" Jae-eun said as signs of worry crossed her face.

"Yea I feel much better." Seo answered, with a smile on her face. She felt a little bit relieved that not everyone hates her in the restaurant. "Let's get to work yea?"

Jae-eun nodded in response. They both went to set up tables while waiting for customers to arrive. After two hours, she took a little ten minute break. Seo looked outside and noticed that it was kinda starting to get dark. She sighed as she realized she still had to work for three more hours for close-up. It was already seven. When she finished taking her break, she decided to go back to work.

As she was cleaning the tables after customers, the bell rang, and someone walked inside. She waited a few seconds to see if the others were going to assist them. Seeing that the others were busy, she walked up to the new customers to take their order.

"Hello. Welcome. How can I help you today?" Seo greeted politely. She didn't look up closely at the customers and just went to the cashier.

"Seo-yeon?" a low voice asked. Seo looked up to see who had called her name. Standing across the counter were two tall Asian guys in black masks. Appearances Japanese or Korean, the masks were not too suspicious. "What... you work here? What are the odds of meeting..."

"Yes? Um, how do you know my name?"

"It's me." The man chuckled as he took off his mask.

Seo looked closer and realized who he was.

"T... taehyung?! What are you doing here?" Seo's eyes widened in surprise. She wanted to duck behind the counter and hide, her face blushing red.

Finger to his lips, he leaned a little forward, closer to her. "Shhh don't say my name too loudly. Since it was our free day, me and Jin hyung decided to go to a restaurant." Taehyung pointed to the taller man.

"Wait, you know her? Hold on... oh, it's the girl that went up on stage with us right?" Jin questioned with a smile appearing under his mask.

"Haha... yeah that's me." Seo scratched her head in embarrassment. "But wouldn't you guys get in trouble since you'll be noticed by a lot of people?"

"I mean it's not that busy right now right? And plus you'll give a good spot right?" Taehyung said as he pulled his mask down with a little smirk.

"U-uh yea s-sure..." Gosh I swear this man! How dare he give me a smirk.

"Here follow me." Seo instructed them. She automatically straightened up in front of them with her heart pounding. She was so nervous that she almost tripped over her own feet. She led them to a table all the way in the corner where it was less crowded. Jin and Taehyung both sat down while taking the menu from Seo's hands.

"I'll be back to take your order." Seo said with a little smile so she wouldn't smile even bigger at how excited she was right now.

Jin hummed in response while thinking of all the foods he would order. He was probably thinking of the foods he would save for his EatJin live.

Seo turned around and walked back to counter stiffly. After taking a big breath and feeling like she couldn't breathe for the past six minutes. She took out her phone and decided to text Rae about who was here.

Seo:

Oh. My. Fucking. God.

Rae:

Uh-oh. You used the f word. Something happened. Spill.

Seo:

Kim Fucking Taehyung and Kim Seokjin are at the restaurant right now. Get your ass over here

or else you're going to miss this.

Rae:

WHAT

Seo paused and looked up at where Taehyung and Jin were sitting and waiting. At that moment, Jin was trying to bite Taehyung's finger. Seo almost wheezed out loud, quickly looking away. Heart pounding, she looked back down to text her last message.

Seo:

IKR, what the heck. It's almost... too good to be true.
