                                                            [Jackie's POV]

Jackie walked to the stone circle to meet with Jordan. She knew he'd be a little late, but she left 15 minutes earlier anyways.  As she was climbing out her window to drop to the bushes below, as she had practiced, she heard footsteps grace the courtyard floor. As she drops to the bushes quickly, she waits. She hears the footsteps drawing nearer, and pulls her muddy boots onto her feet.

"Do you think now is the time to take the girl from society? It is not. The town block party is tonight," She heard someone say. The voice was unfamiliar, so she guessed it was a new guard. How ever, this voice sounded fairly feminine, which is odd. Jackie's father did not like women protecting him or his family.

"That is exactly why we can capture her tonight. She will most definitely be at that party, meaning we can find her," This voice was familiar. It was her father's general.

"I have intel that the girl brings what she catches to a single diner. That can be where we collect the girl. It will be too public, and far to hard to collect the girl at a village function. We must wait a little longer."

The general grumbled, but muttered an agreement and walked on. Who was this girl they were talking about? She sounded very important to the General, so why was she not in the city? Jackie decided it was best to forget about it for now and hurried on to the stone circle, a meeting place Jordan and her created when they were little. They had found a small clearing in her parents' personal forest. They had set rocks all around the trees, and named the place "The Stone Circle". This small place was only known to Jackie and Jordan. It was their personal hangout spot.

When Jackie got to it, Jordan was not there, as she had predicted. She sat on the ground, pulling her cloak hood over her hair. She had pinned her hair back with clips so you couldn't see it very well. She hadn't had time to find an enchantment to temporarily change her hair color, so this was the best she could do was pin it back.

As she was thinking about all the types of food she would be able to eat, a brown-haired boy emerged from the other side of the clearing. The boy had dark brown hair, which was slightly spiky, and was wavering in the wind. He had a good law line, which is always something Jackie picked up on whenever she saw someone. The boy was handsome, to say the least, and most everyone knew it. And although Jackie overlooked how a person looked, and really only cared about the personality, having good looks didn't hurt.

"I knew you'd be late, Jordan," Jackie giggled and stood up, running over to the boy and wrapping her arms around him in a tight embrace.

"Well, I knew you'd be early, so I did my best to let you get here first," Jordan smiled and returned the hug willingly. They both let go and laughed. Jackie loved how Jordan laughed. It was a nice laugh, a strong one. Jackies was more or less like a refined giggle.

The stood there, staring at each other for a quick moment, then they both smiled again, "Hey, I was scouting the perimeter, and I found a pretty good-sized opening for us to get through. I think the shifts are changing right about now, so it'd be a good time to go slip out," Jordan said, taking Jackie's hand and running.

Jackie ran with him and smiled even wider. It had been a while since they had snuck out together. In the last few years, they'd had gotten older, and therefore more security had been put on them. They could rarely ever sneak out anymore. It sucked.

When they reached the tall wire fence, there was indeed a good-sized hole in it. Who had made it? Better yet, what had made it, Jackie wondered. This look like it had been ripped open with bare hands, "Jordan... do you know what made this?"

"I do not, though I really don't care. As long as we can get through, I'm fine with it," He smirked and started to climb through the hole. Jackie followed after him, "Hey, what's with the get-up?" He asked after him and Jackie had gotten through.

Jackie looked down on her cloak, "What do you mean? I can't be seen out there. Word would eventually get to my mom. And she's also worried about assassins..." Jackie shuddered. Who could kill a child in cold blood?

"Oh, I understand! Okay, now, it should take 30 minutes to get to the party, but it's still a little early, so we have time."

Jackie nodded, and hand in hand, they ran off towards the town square.

Okay! 2nd chapter completed! I hope you like it! :)) This was really short and I kinda just wanted a filler chapter. I'll make up with it in the next chapter or two.
