Chapter 169-parental bliss

(Erin sat in the kitchen with Everly resting in the crook of her arm as she nursed her daughter. She ended up waking up early out of nowhere because a nightmare that crept into her mind. She looked down at her daughter as she nursed eagerly, her tiny hand wrapped around Erin's hanging necklace like usual. The sound of footsteps on the stairs pulled her from her thoughts as she lifted her head to her husband)

E<"morning"(she smirked, watching him struggle with the belt he had on)

J<"good morning,(he sighed),seems that since I've been working out more than normal that this belt no longer works for me"

E<"you should take it as a good thing,(she smiled, feeing her daughter root against her chest),you can definitely see the difference. Your muscles are more defined and...big"

J<"big"?(he chuckled, grabbing a cup of coffee and pouring creamer in it before taking a sip)

E<"yeah,(she pulled her daughter away from her breast as she finished eating, only to burp her),you look hot"

(Jay laughed and opened his arms so he can burp Everly as erin got herself cleaned up. He watched her intently as she pulled her tank strap back up and began to wash her hands)

J<"you were up early this morning. I turned around to see if we can get some stuff in before I leave for work and you weren't there"

E<"yeah...I ah-I don't know. I just ended up waking up early,(she walked around the island and grabbed a piece of paper towel to dry her hands off),had a nightmare"

J<"is everything okay? Do you want to talk about it"?

E<"no everything's fine,(she walked back over towards him and gently took the baby from him before pressing a kiss against his lips),you have to get to work before hank kicks down my door and rips you by your hair"

J<"your door"?(he asked, making his way to the door and grabbed his keys, badge and gun)

E<"yeah,(she smiled and opened the door for him as he clamped on his badge to his pants)be safe out there please"!

J<"I know baby,(he leaned in for a kiss),I love you"

E<"I love you too, drive safe"!

(Erin sighed and watched jay walked down the pathway and to the car before getting in and pulling out of the driveway. She stepped back and shut the door, locking it behind her before she made her way back into the kitchen)

Ol<"you okay"?

An<"yeah,(he looked up and watched everyone looking at him with a face),no"

J<"what's wrong"?(he asked, placing his pen on his desk as his listened to his friend)

An<"ah, Laura filed for divorce a month ago, just got the message from her now that she signed them"

R<"man im sorry"

J<"I wish I would have known"

An<"you had your own stuff going on. You just became a father and care taker all in one day. Don't worry about it"

At<"hows the kids doing. Do they know"?

An<"no...how do you make marriage look so easy"?(he asked, looking across to jay)

J<"I don't know"

R<"a lot of sex"
