chapter 31-i am so sorry

(Erins POV)
I cried myself in a hospital bed, my back was so sore, my heart is broken, I lost the love of my life, I am having a really hard time staying in place. But that all flashed back to me that night. That night where I left jay, the night I said goodbye, our 3 month anniversary. I mean I don't know if I should feel bad I didn't cheat on him. He came into my room yesterday and I yelled at him to get out and to not come back. Can my life become any worse.
(Will, hank, jay, Antonio, and Atwater walked into her room. Jay was aside from eveyone cause he knew not to say anything)

E <"hey guys"

An <"hey girl how you doing"?

E <"not sure"

At <"yeah, well we all have faith in you"
(Erin felt Jay looking at her so she pulled the sheets over her body while sitting up cause she knew she had nothing in under neath the hospital gown)

W <"Erin there is something I have to tell you, and I hate to say it but..."

E <"but what"
(Erin placed her hand on wills without noticing telling him to tell her. Jay saw and got a little over the top)

W <"before I tell you, do you remember anything that happened that night"

E <"ha yeah lots"

W <"can you please just tell me, so I know at least how to connect the dots"

E <"um yeah. So it started after I left um, jays apartment and ah, these two guys came walking up to me there names were Daniel and jacob they didn't tell me there last names but they asked for the directions for the shooting range, but I avoided answering and everything was closing in on me. They kicked me so I fell, one covered my mouth with a chemical cloth and the other one picked up my feet dragging me on the floor. And next thing I know was, i was underground. They were treating me like I was a slave. The marks on my back are from them hitting me with um(she stopped herself trying not to cry and remember the pain she went through) a whip. It hurt so bad"
(She started crying and that's when voight came in and hugged her)

V <"your safe kiddo...your safe"
(He tucked erins head into his shoulder and rubbed her head. He then pulled away to let will finish)

W <"okay, it's my turn"

E <"ha, go for it"

W <"is that all you remember"?

E <"yeah"

W <"when you woke up from killing them, did you feel any pain, you know, down there"

E <"yes and no"

An <"what's going on"

V <"Antonio shh"

E <"what is going on"?

W>"Erin, I don't know how to say this, but they raped you"
(Erin closed her eyes in her hands, then lifted her head back with tears falling. She jumped out of the bed and looked at her stomach in the mirror)

E <"this can't be happening....i cant be preg"

W <"your not"

E <"how could you be so sure"

W <"we tested it"

E <"and it came back negative"?

W <"yup"
(Erin ran into Antonio's arms because voight was concentrating on not killing anyone)

E <"I can't go through that again"

An <"we won't let you"

W <"I am so sorry erin"

E <"thanks will"
(She let go of Antonio and hugged will)

W <"oh"

E <"thank you for everything"

W <"your welcome Erin"

J <"I ah, I gotta go"

An <"jay"
(Jay ran out of the room then into the bathroom. He slammed his body against the wall and started crying)
*back in the hospital room*
At <"I am guessing you guys still aren't talking"

E <"what is there to talk about with him, he made it really clear that he probably needed a change"

At <"voight yelled at him for not keeping his act together. Lately he's been late, he has come into work with non matching shoes. You were always the one to make sure you weren't late and matching"

E <"well he will find another girl to help around with, I just won't be that person"
(She walked away to go get dressed to leave the hospital. When she was finished, she put the robe in her bag and walked out with voight. When she turned the corner she noticed Jay at the corner as she almost bumped into him)

J <"oh sorry"

E <"It's cool"(she wouldn't look up from the ground)

J <"how you feeling"

E <"jay...dont"
(She stopped walking and faced him)

J <"don't do what"?

E <"act like nothing happened between us. Cause we sure as he'll had something and was in the need for a change"

J <"I wasn't directing it in any way like that, I was just simply asking how you are doing"

E <"I am doing great thanks for asking"(he almost started to turn into a screaming match)

E <"I gotta go. I need sleep in a real bed"

J <"Erin(he watched her as she wakes away) ugh"
(Jay sighed as he walked into the waiting area and tuned to face Atwater)

A <"You talk to her"

J <"yup, and it almost turned into a whole argument about asking how she was doing"

A <"jay"

J <"what....how am I supposed to tell her I still love her, when she won't even let me ask if she is doing okay"

A <"what I learned is to just fight"

J <"i don't know man, I can't live in a world where she won't be involved in personally, less then professionally"

A <"man don't say that"

J <"what"

A <"You both will find eachother again soon. It may not be tomorrow or a week from now, but you guys have a relationship that non of us in district 21 have ever had. You will meet again, I just can't give you an exact date"

J <"thanks man"
(Jay got a notification on his phone and looked at it. Atwater spotted what it said and his jaw dropped)

A <"what's wrong with you man. You guys broke up, it's not like she moved on. You can't do this, just becaseu you aren't together anymore doesn't mean you can't be friends. You can't do that to her"

J <"I have been looking at apartments out of Chicago ever since she left my apartment before she got kidnapped. I kinda felt like this would just be a bumpy road and no smooth turns"

A <"jay you can't jump to conclusions. And those conclusions you are jumping into, about having notifications about houses out of Chicago are ridiculous. If I were you I would fight for her. Never let her go"

J <"that road passed a while ago. I don't got one finger on her anymore. She made her choice. I am packing in to days. I have been writing her notes and dropping them off at Kim's cause she is staying at hers until she finds a place on her own"

A <"jay, man, don't do this. Don't jump to conclusions"

J <"that ship sailed. She is probably gonna start moving on. And that's what I guess I should do. My whole plan was to spend my life with her, sick or healthy"

A <"don't give up now"

J <"kinda to late"
(he pressed the purchase button on the phone to claim the house out of Chicago. Was it official that Jay is moving)
