Sam's POV

I head over to Colby's apartment to see him standing in his doorway, waiting for me. 

"Hi Colbs." 

"Hey Sam. 

"You alright?" I ask.

"Yeah, I feel better now that I told you. But I do want you to know, that I'm not quite ready for a relationship yet," he says. 

"I understand and I'm not mad. I'll do whatever you need." 

He sighs in relief, "Oh, thank you."

"Of course Colbs. I just want you to be happy," I say.

"Just don't ever leave me," he says. 

"I promise." 

I open my arms to him and he settles into them. 

"Am I still your best friend?" he asks.

"You're so much more. You're my world, my love and that will never change," I say. 

"So are you," he says. 

"Want to watch something?" 

He nods and I turn on a random movie. About a half-hour into the movie, Colby's head falls on my shoulder. I readjust and lay him down on my chest so he will be more comfortable. He smiles in his sleep and that's when I know that he really does still love me. And I'll wait as long as it takes for him to be mine again.
