- Give me a good reason to let you go? I don't want to let you go.

- I don't have a reason, you just have to trust me and my choices. I just want to tell you that whatever happens, my love for you will never die, I will always be here with you.- I said putting my hand on his chest, where the heart is located.

- Let's go honey?

- Yes, let me just say something to Jace and let's go.

- Listen very carefully and don't ask questions. As soon as she is distracted, you go to Izzy's side and dip your knife in dead blood and hit the crazy girl. Do you understand?

"Yes!" He replied and I looked at Alec and went to the edge of Heidi.

POV JACE:

I didn't understand anything he wanted me to do, yes I know that with dead blood, a vampire dies but how was she going to be distracted. Seeing the love of your life moving away from you to go into the arms of a madwoman is very unpleasant.

Halfway there, something hit Simon in the back, which made him fall to the floor quickly. That something had been one of Alec's arrows, but why did he do this, if Simon doesn't drink human blood right now, he doesn't recover and if he doesn't recover, he dies.

"Sy?" Asked Heidi, putting down the pistol and kneeling beside him and I did what Simon told me. I dipped one of my knives in dead blood that Izzy was carrying with her and threw it at Heidi who hit it right in the center of the chest.

"What did you do to me?" Asked Heidi before she started to turn to dust and seconds later she died.

- Simon, Simon ... Do you hear me? We need blood urgently, "I said, kneeling beside me." Why did you do that? He's going to die and it's all your fault.

"Alec, thank you," said Simon almost without a voice, and seconds later he closed his eyes.

"Thank you, but thank you why?" I asked without understanding anything that was happening.

- This was his idea, he made me promise that I would do that.

- It doesn't matter, we have to go to the institute urgently, we have blood there and it may not be too late.

We used the portal and when we arrived at the institute Alec and I took Simon to the infirmary and tried to get him to drink some blood which was very complicated because he had no reaction.

At this moment it was just me and Alec sitting next to the bed where Simon was and there was still no reaction on his part, which was making me extremely worried, because I don't know if we came in time.

"I'm sorry," said Alec quietly.

- It wasn't your fault, I should have known he had some crazy plan in his head. You just did what you promised him.

I realized why Alec did what he did and if Simon had asked me to, I would have done it too. We spent a few more minutes without saying anything, we just watched him but nothing happened and that made me even more worried.

- Alec do you think he'll wake up? Or do you think we arrived too late?

- I don't know the answer to any of these questions but what I can tell you is that we have to be optimistic and think that he will wake up.

- But what if he doesn't wake up? What if I lost him forever? "I asked, dropping a tear.

- We will find a solution, we always did and this time was not going to be different. We wait a few more hours, if he doesn't react, then we call Magnus, he may be able to help us.

Alec was right, we had to be optimistic that everything was going to be fine, but part of me was already starting to imagine what my life would be like without Simon and I was not enjoying anything that I was seeing in my mind.

Two hours had passed and nothing, at this moment I was alone because Alec was in a meeting with the Clave to see how Heidi had been released after the danger she caused in the community.

"I need to drink, I'm so thirsty," he told me and I gave him one of the bags of blood I had for him.

He drank three bags of blood that we had here for him and finally with a little effort, he was able to sit down.

- Yes, just sore, but I'll be better in a few minutes.- he replied smiling.

- You never do that to me again, Simon Lewis. You know how worried I was about you. Simon, this game could have cost us a lot.

- I know but I couldn't be with her.

It was here that I realized that my life without him was not the same. I felt so miserable when he wasn't with me!

- Simon, you woke up.- said Izzy and they all came to embrace Simon.
