Rey walked to Kylo's room, dreading the conversation that she was about to have. She got to the room and knocked. After a few seconds the door opened.
"Hey Rey," it was Hux who opened the door.
"Oh hi," she said. "I'll just come back later if he's not here."
"Oh no it's ok he's here," Hux said. "Good luck."
"Thanks," Rey said.
She waited until Hux left and knocked on Kylo's door.
"Come in," Kylo said.
Rey opened the door. Kylo clearly hadn't left bed. His black hair is a tousled mess. An empty bottle of scotch on his nightstand.
"You're drunk," Rey stated, crossing her arms.
"No. Just hungover," Kylo said. "Come here."
"No," Rey said.
"What's wrong?" Kylo asked,
"You're drunk Kylo," Rey said again. "Don't try denying it."
"Ok you're right I'm drunk, but it's because of you," Kylo said. "You drive me so fucking crazy Rey. I think about you all the time and the fact that I hurt you is killing me!"
"Kylo stop. It's ok. "I'm alright," Rey said so quiet Kylo could barely hear her.
"No, you're not," Kylo said. "And you have every right to be scared of me."
"But I'm not," Rey said. "Kylo I don't know why, but I feel something when I'm with you. Something I've never felt before and it's amazing. And yes you may be a dick, and I may find you extremely annoying and you get on everyone one of my nerves but I think I love you."
"Ben," Kylo said quietly.
"What?" Rey asked.
"Call me Ben. It's my real name. Ben Solo."
"I love you Ben Solo," Rey said.
"I know," Ben said, wrapping his arms around the small girl.
"You could never really hurt me," Rey said on the verge of crying.
"Don't cry," Ben said smiling at her. Although he himself was having a hard time holding back tears.
"I'm not crying," Rey said, visibly sobbing.
"You're not crying?" Ben asked laughing.
"No I'm not," Rey said burying her face into Ben's chest so he couldn't see her.
"Alright baby you're not crying," Ben stroked her hair gently. "And when you're done not crying can you answer my question?"
"What question?" Rey said, her voice muffled by Ben's embrace.
"Would you do me the honour of coming to the dance with me?" Ben asked.
Rey nodded.
"I can't hear you," Ben said. "I need an answer so I can buy you a dress."
Rey looked up at him. "Yes Ben. I'll go to the dance with you."
Ben smiled and kissed her.
"Do you want a drink?" Ben asked, breaking the kiss and reaching for the bottle on his nightstand.
"Baby that's empty," Rey said laughing.
"Oh," Ben said. "I have more wait here."
Rey pulled him back before he could stand all the way up. She slowly kissed him and eased herself back onto pillows so he was on top of her.
"You're beautiful," Ben whispered to her.
Rey smiled, "I know."
Ben laughed at her comment. "Brat."
"Says you," Rey rolled her eyes.
"Alright I see you," Ben said.
"Then I'm waiting," Rey said.
"I love you too," Ben whispered in her ear.
