The hospital was cold and smelled very strongly of disinfectant and hand sanitizer.

It had been an hour since the police officer left Rey and had nothing but sit exactly where they left her with nothing to do but worry.

She had about 17 missed calls from Poe and Finn who seemed to be more worried about her than her boyfriend lying in hospital bed.

She watched nurses and doctors running around with clipboards, carts full of medicine, needles, and other random scary looking things.

Eventually she was done waiting for someone to come find her and wandered up the front desk.

"Um hi," she said quietly.

"Hi sweetie what can I help you with?" the woman at the desk asked.

"I'm looking for Kylo Ren. I'm his girlfriend," said Rey.

"Oh stars! Honey no one came to find you?"

Rey shook her head.

"He's in room 504," the woman said.

"How bad was the crash?" Rey asked.

"I can't give you any info because you're not family but you can go see him."

"Thank you," Rey said and headed for the elevators.

The elevator dinged as it reached the fifth floor. She stepped off and the heavy energy of the hospital really hit her.

She walked down the hallway of white walls and misery until she found room 504.

She knocked and held her breath as she turned the door knob.

He was lying there battered and bruised. His hair stuck to his face because of sweat and his leg was wrapped in a cast. He looked weak. Rey didn't like it.

"Hey," Ben said weakly, he could barely get the words out.

"Hi," Rey responded.

"You're mad," Ben said.

"More worried but yes I'm mad," Rey said, she was still lingering by the door.

"I'm sorry."

"You can't just disappear like that!" Rey said, raising her voice more than she intended.

"I didn't have a choice," Ben said.

"I don't care what you were doing, you always have a choice and you chose to leave your girlfriend for a week with nothing! Not even a goddamn text message!"

"You wanna tell that too Supreme Leader Snoke."

"I don't give a fuck about Snoke!"

"You should."

"Were you with Mandy?" Rey's voice dropped.

"It doesn't matter," Ben said.

"I think it does matter especially cause I'm your girlfriend," said Rey.

"I don't love her," Ben said.

"I don't care if you don't love her. You were with her all week," Rey paused thinking about her next words carefully. "Did you fuck her?"

"Rey I love you," Ben said.

"That doesn't answer the question," Rey said. "Did you fuck her?"

"Yes," Ben said.

"Lose my number," Rey said before walking out the door.
