9 Years Later
In the busy yet quiet palace, came a loud voice, wailing, followed by giggles.
"Am sure! You are adopted!" Screamed a five-year-old pink-haired girl with indigo red eyes.
"Noooo! Y-you are l-lyin!!!" A cute five-year-old boy with the same hair and eye colour as his sister, screeched. Tears flowing down his big eyes making all the maids in the corridor giggle and coo at how cute he was.
"I am not! You know that too!" She said, laughing when the boy started sobbing again.
"U-uncle Caiden!!!" He whined, rushing to the blond man who was talking to the Archmage in the central room just beside where he was standing.
His favourite uncle scooped him up in his arms and tried to soothe him while his other mean uncle with long blue hair looked at him with amused eyes.
"What's wrong Freddie?" Caiden asked, patting the small child with his huge scratched hands, carrying the scars of years of wielding a sword.
"G-George....", Fred whined, "George s-said am a-adopted." a sob escaped him and George burst out laughing, latching onto her stomach.
"Fred, you know that's not-", "GEORGINA!", Mari barked out with mock seriousness, looking at Georgina with amused eyes.
George steadied, biting onto her lower lip to stop herself from laughing out loud.
"We told you not to tell him!", Mari finished making her burst out laughing, with the other maids in the room who were giggling and even Caiden struggled to suppress a chuckle.
The only one not humoured by this was a petrified Fred.
"We trusted you with this information, George. How could you do this to us?" Mari then asked sadly, unable to hide his smirk.
"Don't listen to him!" Caiden told Fred who was trembling.
"M-make mean u-uncle stop talking!" Fred cried.
"Mari! Stop! The kid is crying nonstop, cut him some slack." Caiden said sternly but it didn't stop George from commenting, "See Fred, I told you. You were adopted."
Fred looked at his sister angrily as tears still escaped his indigo-red eyes, "You are always teasing me!" He screamed at her, "I hate you!" And then dashed off towards his room which was on the second floor.
George's heart dropped at the words.
I hate you.
She obviously loved teasing her brother and annoying the shit out of him till he was crying. Yet her heart couldn't take it when he said such cruel words to her.
"What did you do now, George?" Came a tired voice and George turned to look at her mother, "I could hear him crying from across the hallway."
"Mum," Geroge whispered, her eyes watering but she refused to cry, "Fred said he hates me." She said clutching onto her mother's hand who sat down on the couch beside Caiden, "He was not serious, right?"
Haeun stared at her weird daughter, wondering whose traits she got.
Fred was quiet and studious, which he inherited from her and too much of a crybaby (it was cute so she didn't mind much) which was probably Raashid since she never cries.
And George was the polar opposite of her brother, a troublemaker and a brilliant fighter, which was all Raashid again.
But then, Raashid swore that he never caused his parents any trouble. Messing with paperwork, clothes and painting the walls with his mother's favourite lipstick was far from it.
