It had been a couple of weeks. You had been throwing up randomly for the past week. You didn't understand why. Mark had been there to help you through it. After about 4 days of throwing up you decided you should most likely go to the doctor, so you scheduled an appointment.
Mark drove you up to the doctor's office. The results you had gotten were shocking. You were 3 weeks pregnant.
Mark had taken you home and you started to freak out. "Mark, I'm not ready for this, I'm not ready. I don't even know the first thing when it comes to parenting, or what if I have a miscarriage and we lose it completely, or what if...what if... I don't know. I'm completely terrified right now."
He sat you down on the couch, putting his arms around you and pulling you into him as you sobbed in fear. He wiped your tears away and rested his head on yours, "(f/n), listen. You will be the best mother to our child. I just know you will be. You'll be thee perfect mother, just like you're the perfect wife. Darn, why are you just so perfect?"
You laughed a little bit, but you were still crying. He said, "You'll be ready when the time comes for you to be. I mean, I should know, I'm a doctor, and I know what's best," he gave you a smile, trying to cheer you up. Then he said in a high pitched voice, "But doctor, how are you going to know when she's ready?" And then he responded to himself, "Shut up nurse! I'm a doctor, I know what I'm doing."
This made you laugh. You finally stopped crying and you felt Mark's hand on your stomach. He looked at you with bright eyes. "Even though it's not developed much yet, I think it already loves you," he stated, kissing your cheek and Eskimo kissing you.
