Girded between the abounding strawberry bushes, the two boys were back again in the farm with baskets in their hands to pluck the strawberries.
Spending his days together with Jeongguk was fun and heart speeding. It was like longing to dance in the cloudburst, letting the pellucid droplets of aqua sodden him with the happiness and beauty of a birthing feeling, his heart drifting away in the serenade from Jeongguk's heart yet being scared of the cold it might incite.
The weather was quite humid and not even a few minutes after both of them were drenched in sweat even though it was almost evening now.
Sweat slowly trickles down his face so Taehyung wipes his cheeks on the shirt he was wearing and sighs feeling his energy drain.
Jeongguk sees him and makes his way towards him and starts to take off his hat which gets Taehyung startled.
"Wh-what are you doing?"
"You should take care of yourself peanut," He replies, bringing out a towel from his apron's pocket and wiping Taehyung's face with it.
Taehyung opens his mouth to say something but he simply stands there like a statue, his brain not being able to form any coherent word. And his brain only goes haywire further as Jeongguk holds him in an intense gaze and he feels the aure surrounding them become electric with a newfound tension or maybe it was just the way Taehyung felt.
"You're so pretty," Jeongguk says unexpectedly with a smile as he tucks a strand of hair falling on his forehead behind his ears.
Now Taehyung wanted the ground beneath his feet to swallow him whole cause he in no way could stop himself from blushing and his face morphing into a salient hue of red but he blames the setting sun for it.
"Th-thank you?" he stutters with an equally stuttering heart. He places a step backwards in hopes of giving Jeongguk the hint to go but seems like he has his own plans for he doesn't stir even slightly and only keeps on gazing at him.
"I-I'll go bring the cart," he says pointing at the baskets full of strawberries kept on the ground.
"Okay," Jeongguk says smiling, going back to plucking the strawberries.
Taehyung pushes the cart in a hasty manner, in an attempt to keep his blushing face out of Jeongguk's sight.
Seeing the cart wobble slightly made Jeongguk concerned of the way Taehyung was pushing it so he shouted out to him to slow down but got dismissed by Taehyung telling him not to worry.
