Chapter 19: A Chat

Group ended longer than I thought it would. Doctor Candy spoke for a quite about, answering questions about the drill and then listening to Hilde speak and then some guy I didn't even realize was in group. But when Cherry started speaking, all hell broke loose. At first I was dozing off and letting my mind take over so I didn't have to sit through this boring thing but when I heard my name and all eyes on me, I knew I was in deep trouble.

"Seriously? Y/N, talks?" Hilde asks. I glance to her and then back to Cherry who smirks but still has shock written across her face. She nods her head and crosses her arms over her chest as sassy like. Everyone's eyes were burning deep into my skin and I glanced to the ground.

"Yeah right. Cherry you're full of it," some guy spoke. I kept my gaze to the ground, not daring to look up.

"I'm not! I talked to her when I was trying to save her ass-"

"Cherry language," Doctor Candy spoke, cutting the girl off. I felt some sort of relief hearing Doctor Candy's voice. I just wish she would make everyone stop talking about me already and get this stupid meeting over with. I still don't know why I'm in these. She knows I hate them and how they make me feel. I mean I never talk and I never take anything from it, so why am I still in it?

"Sorry," Cherry spoke up then continued speaking. "But I did hear her speak. More than a word. She was literally speaking sentences and turns out she's been talking to Wolf and the doctor here for a while. Oh and that tiny brunette that's always coming to see her." I tensed at the mention of a tiny brunette. I knew exactly who Cherry was speaking about and without even mentioning Anna's name I knew who it was.

"Yeah, that's Anna Kendrick. She's like famous or something," Hilde spoke up. I shut my eyes and heard gasps and whispers beginning to fill the space. "Oh and the ginger, red head girl is Brittany Snow." Another round of gasps and even more mumbles and whispers filled the courtyard area. My anxiety began to creep in. I felt my chest shrinking. Quickly, I reach my hand up and grip my shirt placed over my heart. I wanted to get up and run. And that's exactly what I did. I stood quickly hearing everyone become silent as Doctor Candy's voice shouts after me, calling my name numerous times but I kept running.

My feet carry me to the door where I swing open the door. I burst through, letting the door slam shut behind me and I take off down the halls. Where I was going, I didn't really have an exact location. The best place to go was either Doctor Candy's office, my room or some janitor closet. But before I could even decide I was already heading in the direction of my room. It felt safe. Some sort of comfort there. Yet I couldn't even get there because I ran right into someone causing both of us to fall to the floor.

I lay there a moment, staring up at the ceiling. That is until I feel cold hands grab a hold of mine. I jump up and look to find blue eyes. "A-Anna?" I mumble, looking back and forth between her eyes. She gives me a small smile as I take in her bruised right eye, her busted lip and tiny cut marks all among her face from the accident. I look away after a moment as she tries to help me up. But when I see her wince I stop and gently pull my hands away from her, standing up on my own. "W-What are you d-doing here?"

"Doctor Candy asked me to come..." Her voice trailed off and that's when I heard my name shouted from behind me. I turned quickly and found Doctor Candy's brown eyes. She walks up to me and places her hands on my shoulders.

"You okay?" She asks, looking back and forth between me. I nod my head slowly and she tilts her head. "You sure? Who were you talking to?" I tilt my head at her this time and turn around to where I was talking to Anna but she wasn't there. I look around the area a bit, searching far and down the hall that was on my right. But still she was nowhere to be seen. "Y/N? Did you see someone?"
