"Thank you for sharing Hilde," Candy spoke, putting her leg over her other one. She wrote something down on a whiteboard, as the group quieted down. I kept to myself, picking at the palm of my hands.
"Ms. Candy, she's doing it again!" Cherry's voice rang out. I picked my head up slightly to see her figure sitting criss cross on her chair, her head facing me. Immediately I stopped picking at my hand and averted my hands down to see little ticks of blood rising to the surface.
"It's okay Cherry," Doctor Candy spoke. I bit my bottom lip gently hearing movement about the room.
"How is it okay? Shy girl here never has to talk. She always gets special treatment and you stop everything when she picks at her hands. It's not fair!" Cherry whined. I remained quiet, keeping my head hung low.
"Cherry, you know that everyone in here has something unique about them-" there's a moment of silence as Doctor Candy stops. "Everyone has a different situation and everyone has a way of dealing with incidents. We help everybody differently."
"I know! But how is it fair to all of us when we have to share our story when we don't even know why the mutey is here? Is it because she's mute?"
"That's enough Cherry!" Doctor Candy stands from her seat. I pick my head up from this, realizing that the blonde haired girl had hit a nerve with the doctor. This was the first Candy has raised her voice in the month or so I've been here. Something in me felt a little relieved she stuck up for me but also I felt a little scared. My body tensed at her tone, my fingers going right back to picking my skin on my palm. "Cherry, I want to see you in my office and everybody else, that's the end of the session."
And just like that everyone was standing and heading towards the door. Cherry stood too as I glanced up seeing her figure walking towards everyone else shaking her head, angrily. Funny too, seeing as just last night she had tears streaming down her face. Now she was attacking me because I couldn't speak. How could I when people like her act just like that?
"Y/N?" I jump at my name, feeling a hand on my knee. I pick my head a bit, seeing Doctor Candy bent down in front of me. She gives my knee a squeeze, giving me time to pull my fingers away from my hand. Yet as I do, I feel her hand take my own, opening it up. My eyes trail down to my hand seeing red trailing down my hand. Guess it had gotten worse than the last time this had happened. "I'm going to get Wolf to take you and clean this up. We'll have our meeting a little later, okay?"
Slowly, my head nods up and down. She stands and helps me up too. I followed behind her to the door, everyone had gone out. And just like it was expected Wolf was waiting for us. A smile across his lips when he saw us, but faint when he saw my hand. I kept my gaze away from him and to the ground seeing his black boots. Doctor Candy spoke, but it was nothing but faint mumbling as I stood there, ready to leave. And if my prayers couldn't be answered faster, Candy left as Wolf nudged me gently. I picked my head up and out of the corner of my eye saw him give me a smile and a head nod to the direction of my room. I nod and we head on down, keeping a familiar silence I didn't really mind, but I wish he would say something. Even if I couldn't respond, I just wanted to hear him talk. He had a voice that was nice to everyone. But when we rounded my room, he opened the door and let me walk in. I walked over to my bed and took a seat.
"I'm going to get some supplies," Wolf spoke, finally. I only nodded my head up and down as he disappeared, leaving the door open. I kept my eyes on the door, seeing many workers walk by, from each direction. I could also see many of the people from the group being led to their rooms or to their sessions seeming as, turns out, Doctor Candy isn't the only doctor here. I'm just glad she's mine.
"Okay, little one," Wolf spoke walking into the room. I turned my head, following his legs till he was in front of me. He pulled over the chair and took a seat in front of me. I dropped my eyes from there, letting them watch his hands take care of mine. That's when my Y/E/C eyes caught a glimpse of his scar once more. It was rather intriguing. Something I haven't seen. Sure, other people in this place have scars. Many of them, might I add but none look like Wolf's. His is deep, deeper than most I've seen. And it's a type of reddish orange, almost as if it was infected somehow. I tilted my head at this, continuing to stare at it. I wanted to ask, but I couldn't which was all so frustrating. But within time there was a soft knock on the door. Both me and Wolf pick our heads up, as my eyes land on beautiful blue ones.
