Chapter 21: Anna Explains (Part II)

"Those were half the reason...The other half was because of who you are Y/N," Anna started. I could feel her shaking a bit along with her voice that seemed unsteady.

"W-What do you m-mean?" I question. There's a long pause as my question lingers in the air. Slowly I sit up and glance over my shoulder at the blue eyed girl. Her eyes are closed, but after a long, drawn out moment she opens them. Our eyes lock and there's tears whelming up in her eyes. I bite my bottom lip, switching my eyes back and forth between her own. "A-A-Anna?"

"Owen's not your uncle. He's just some asshole who got custody of you after your adoptive parent died..." Her voice trailed off as my eyes widened. She then bit her own bottom lip and sighed, softly. "You're my daughter Y/N..." I stare at the blue eyed girl, dumbfounded. The last words still ring inside of my head. Over and over and over again.

You're my daughter Y/N.

I shook my head after a few moments. And I thought about getting up,getting up and running but Anna read me too easily as she grabbed my wrists, wrapping her fingers around them, holding me from leaving. "Y/N, don't freak out. I know it's a lot to take in-"

"No...No...That's not p-possible," I said, cutting her off. I shook my head from side to side but she shook her head from side to side too. "It's not possible. It would be all over..."

"I'm good at disappearing Y/N. I don't put everything on social media. And when I need to, I disappear. Sometimes my fans don't even know if I'm dead or alive," she says. I bite my lip feeling tears well into my eyes. That's when I feel myself start to pull away from Anna. She grips a bit tighter around my wrists.

"Let me explain please. I just want to explain!" I pause a moment and slowly nod my head up and down, looking away from her eyes. An unsteady sigh escaped her lips before she started. "When I first found out I was scared..." I stare at her, listening to her words as she begins to explain a chat she had with Brittany when she first found out, to going into hiding till she had me.

Anna stared straight ahead holding the pregnancy test in her hands. She closed her eyes, while sitting on the side of her tub taking deep breaths. "It's okay...I'm okay... It's okay," she whispered over and over again, continuing to breathe in and out. But before long she heard her phone alarm go off. Her eyes burst open and she turned, clicking it off. Slowly, she turned back around looking down at the test, biting her bottom lip nervously. As her blue eyes landed on the test her eyes widened. The tiny brunette reached up her hand, covering her mouth as tears welled into her eyes.

"Anna? I'm here!" Brittany's voice yelled out. Anna's blue eyes remained on the test, seeing the double line meaning one thing. Pregnant. She shook her head hearing clicking of heels from outside the bathroom door. She remained still before hearing knocks on the bathroom door. "Anna banana? You in there?" The tiny brunette stayed silent, before removing her hand from her mouth and standing up. Carefully she stumbles over to the sink, pulling open a drawer and putting the pregnancy test in, hiding it back in the back. And after a moment, she jumped at the sudden bang on the door.

"Just a minute!" Anna finally spoke, reaching over to the faucet turning it on. She let the water run for a moment before cupping her hands together, letting water fill up. Once it did, she bent down a little, tossing the water into her face. A coldness ran through her from the cold water. She reached to the right grabbing a towel, drying off her face. From there she placed down the towel and looked down to her stomach. Gently she placed her hand on her stomach, looking up and glancing at herself through the mirror. Tears rush to her eyes as she shakes her head from side to side. That's when another round of soft taps echo from the door.
