Selina and Nate have been best friends for five years. They even live together now that they're 17. Their parents have faith in them that they will keep it in their pants, and being the responsible kids.
But then as time passes by, Selina eventually...
"Nick!What are you doing here?"I asked a bit cheerily.
"Well I wanted to hang out with you."he said as he rubbed the back of his neck.I opened the door wider for him to come in.He went inside.
"Follow me,"I said as I led the way to the kitchen."Oh,Nate this is Nick,"I introduced him to Nate.
Nate nodded with a blank face."We're having an early dinner,"I said as I got a plate and a fork from the drawer.I put some pasta in it.I set it beside me.
"Come on let's eat,"I said returning to my seat.I sat between the two boys.We sat and ate there awkwardly.
I cleared my throat,"So Nick,what do you want to do?"I asked him.
He shrugged,"I wanted to know you more,"he said while shoving some pasta in his mouth.I nodded,then turned to Nate.
"You and Jenna seemed to be having fun when I arrive here,"I said.Oh God Selina.
You're so stupid,why would you let that out from your mouth?!
Nate nodded with an affectionate smile.That made me feel as if my heart was being stabbed and being jumped on.It just hurts,watching the person you like slowly falling for someone.
"She's really fun to be with,"he said the smile the leaving his face.
Nick cleared his throat,"So Selina,where am I gonna put this?"he asked holding up his plate and also changing the subject as if he sensed that I was hurting inside.
"Give me that,"I said as I placed his placed under mine.I haven't finished my food,but I guess I've lost my appetite when Jenna became the topic.I stood up end went over to the dishwasher.I placed it in then I walked over to the boys.
"We'll be in my room,"I turned to Nate with a fake smile.
I grabbed Nick's hand and dragged him into my room.My room was plain,with white walls,a twin size bed with black covers,a closet,and a desk to study on.I opened my door and walked inside,sitting on my bed and crossing my legs.I patted my side.Nick closed the door and sat beside me.
"So let's play 21 questions to know each other more?"I asked him.
He nodded,I asked the first question.
"What's your full name?"I asked him.
"Nicholas Johnson,"he said,"but I really don't like the name Nicholas,"he added.
"I like it,it just sounds manly.In my opinion,"I said,I wasn't lying.
It causes him to smile."How about you,what's yours?"he glance at the window then back at me.
"Selina Carson,"I answered.We continued to ask each other more questions when his phone rang.He looked at it for a second before answering it.
"Hello,mom?"he asked.Then paused,"Yeah,okay.I'm just hanging out with a friend,"then he paused again."Yeah,okay.I'll come soon,"then pause a little longer."Okay,mom.Love you too,bye,"Then he hung up.He turned to me,"I gotta go now."he said as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Yeah,sure.I'll see you tomorrow,"I said standing up.
We both head out of my room,then we went to the front door.
"Bye Selina,"he said as he went out.
I turned around and went to the living room.It was just 5:30pm,there was nothing to do.There weren't any homework since it was the first day of school.I watched The Good Doctor on Netflix.It was such a good show,I love it so much.I pause it since I know I'm going to get hungry later on.I called for pizza delivery then I continued the show.Minutes later the doorbell rang,I opened the door and the delivery man was holding the pizza box in his hands.I took it and handed the money and some tip.I close the door after he left.
"Nate!Do you want some pizza?"I shouted,I was generous,at some times though.He went out of his room,he sat beside me on the couch.I continued the show I was watching.
"I don't like him,"he blurted out before taking a bite from his pizza.I looked at him,confused.
"What?"I asked,who was he talking about?
"That Nick guy,"he said not looking at me.
I furrowed my eyebrows."What?What do you mean?"
"I just don't like him.I have a feeling that he's one of those assholes,"he said,still not looking at me.
"How can you even say that?You barely even knew the guy,"I said in disbelief at what he just said about my new friend.
"So do you,"he mumbled as he took a bite from his pizza.
"Well at least I spent most of the school's time with him."
"Why?Why would you spend it with a guy you barely knew?"
"Why would you bring a girl home when you just met her for the first time?"
"Don't talk about Jenna as if I only want her for sex."
I scoffed,"Do you?"
"What?"
"Oh,Nathan,we both know that you only want her for sex."
His jaw clenched,his fists were balled,and his knuckles were white.
"Don't say that,"he growled.
"Nathan,don't lie to me.I know you.You only want girls for sex."
"Yeah?You know,you only see the bad on people.Why don't you try and see the good on people?How about you try that?"
I was shocked at what he said.But what he said was true.I only see the bad in people.I don't see the good.He stood up and drop the pizza back on the box and then he went to his room without a word.
Yep,I definitely started a fight between us.I sighed,I turned the TV off and cleaned up the pizza.I placed it in the fridge and went inside my room after turning all the lights off.Even though it was just 6pm I was tired of all the events that happened today.I brushed my teeth and washed my face.I then went to bed.
