Longing

It was bold of you to assume that I got over you in a week,

Every time I look at you, my heart skips a beat, I'm so weak.

Just a look in your eyes and I don't ever want to look away,

And even though I should go, I still just wanna stay.

When I talk to you, I remember cute you are,

When I see you, I just know that you'll go far.

When I think of you, I feel like I'm floating through the sky,

When I'm with you, I swear you're a drug cause I'm always high.

Everything that you do makes me fall more and more for you,

Why am I still feeling these things, are they true?

Sometimes I want you to go away, just for a little while,

Because I can barely seem to focus when I see you smile.

Though I know that you don't love me back, I can't help but try,

Couldn't you have loved me? So I don't have to cry.

And when I hold you close, I bite my lip, remember I'm just your friend,

But I love to reread the cute messages we'd send.
