The cloud of smoke dispersed from the lab, revealing a tiny baby girl with blonde hair and wearing a blue onesie. The yellow lizard monster that was standing over the baby was panicking as she adjusted her round glasses, "O-oh no! I can't believe that I turned Angel into a baby!!"
The baby Angel just stared at the reptilian monster shaking in her lab coat with a pair of large blue eyes. After a minute of nervous murmuring, another monster entered the lab. This new monster had white fur, broad shoulders, and tall horns curved from the top of his head. His long floppy ears were nearly hidden by a mane of yellow hair that also formed a beard coming from his muzzle. He was a majestic sight, and yet he wore a simple pink shirt decorated with white floral patterns.
The new monster smiled kindly at the nervous yellow lizard, "Howdy, Alphys. Toriel sent me to bring Angel home. Is she here?"
Alphys yelped when she heard his voice, "K-king Asgore! I-I mean, Asgore. Um... A-about Angel..."
Asgore looked down when he felt the baby Angel tugging on his pants. Asgore bent down to gently pick her, "Well, howdy, little one. Who might you be? And what are you doing in a place like this?" Angel giggled as she was brought into Asgore's arms.
Alphys started sweating, "U-u-um... Th-that is A-Angel. I-I don't even kn-know how this h-happened, b-but I turned Angel into a b-b-baby! I-I am s-so so sorry!"
Asgore just smiled at Alphys while he held Angel, "It's alright, Alphys."
Angel was reaching for Asgore's beard as she smiled, "Daddy!"
Asgore's widened with cuteness overload as he gave a goofy smile, "She called me, 'Daddy!' Oh my... She is just too pure."
Alphys continued to stutter, "I-I c-could be able to turn her b-back. B-but it will t-take some time t-to figure out the b-best way to do th-that."
"Don't worry, Alphys. You take as much time as you need, and we'll make sure to take care of Angel while she's like this."
Alphys started to calm down, "W-well, okay. I'll do m-my best."
Asgore gave Alphys a nod and left with Angel. After he arrived home, he found another monster similar to his appearance. Only her horns were shorter than his and she didn't have a mane. "Tori, we're home," Asgore declared as he entered the kitchen.
"Wonderful. Just in time to help get dinner rea-" the monster cut herself off when she turned and saw the baby in Asgore's arms. "Gorey... What happened?"
"Well, Toriel, Alphys said that there was an incident at the lab. Angel is fine, and Alphys said that she would find a way to reverse this," Asgore explained as he handed Angel to Toriel.
Toriel took Angel while staring at her in confusion, "My Angel? Turned into a baby? I thought that she would be more careful."
"There's no reason to be worried. We can still watch over her while Alphys figures out how to fix this," Asgore assured Toriel.
At that moment, a human child with brown hair and wearing a blue sweater with purple stripes entered the room. The child looked at the baby Angel, "Is that Angel?"
Toriel sighed and handed Angel to Frisk, "Yes, this baby is Angel. Would you please watch her while Asgore and I prepare dinner, Frisk?"
Frisk did their best to hold Angel up but smiled at Toriel, "Okay, Mom." Frisk then carried Angel into the other room to play.
When it was time for dinner, Frisk ran up to the table with Angel, clearly very excited. "Angel can still use magic! She teleported across the room while we were playing!"
Toriel and Asgore gave each other a concerned look. "We need to be careful," Toriel remarked.
They sat down and started eating dinner, with Angel sitting on Asgore's lap. Angel kept attempting to grab at Asgore's food and utensils, causing a large mess. Asgore sighed, but he continued to cheerfully feed Angel. After dinner, Angel got to have a bath in the sink. Then it was bedtime.
As Toriel held the freshly cleaned Angel, about to put her into bed, Angel waved to Asgore, "G'nite!"
Asgore stood there, struck with Angel's cuteness, while Frisk and Toriel took the baby Angel to Frisk's bedroom. Asgore spent a few minutes awake in bed thinking of how cute Angel was as a baby. It reminded him of how he felt after his son was born. Asgore always loved how sweet and caring Angel was. And until Alphys could turn Angel back to normal, Asgore decided to enjoy watching over a baby again while he had the opportunity.
The next morning, Asgore was woken up by tiny hands pulling on his ear. Turning around, he saw Angel smiling at him. Asgore picked Angel up and gave a half tired smile, "Good morning, little one. How did you get in here?"
Angel giggled and pointed at an object on the bed, "Hapee Papa Day!"
Asgore shifted Angel to one arm and sat up to pick up the object with his other hand. It was a purple mug decorated with golden buttercup flowers. Asgore gave it a quick examination and turned to Angel, "Did you make this for me? For Father's Day?" Angel nodded while she gently felt Asgore's beard. Asgore smiled, "You must have made this before the incident at the lab. You're not old enough for a cup of tea right now. But would you like for me to make us breakfast?"
Angel smiled widely and nodded her head while Asgore quietly got out of bed. Angel and Asgore shared breakfast together, with Asgore using his new Father's Day mug.
