"Can you get us back home?"
Chime swung her legs as they dangled off the edge of the counter, "Nope, sorry. It doesn't work like that for me. It might work for others, but I need to know where I'm going and where I currently am so that I can figure out how far they are from each other."
"Then, we'll have to figure out how to get out of here," Tearstain said thoughtfully as she fiddled with the fluff of her shirt.
"What's behind that door, Mickey?" Oswald asked curiously.
The mouse clicked the door into place before turning to his brother, "Oh, not much. Just a giant, possibly fire-breathing dragon."
They were quiet for a moment before a thud came from the other side of the door, causing the two cartoons to jumped with a scream and run down the hallway.
Out of nowhere, walls slid between the girls and the floor disappeared from underneath them. With shouts of surprise, they fell down the chutes.
After Angel hit the ground, she looked around and got up. Hurrying to the wall to her side, she started pounding on it and cried, "Guys! Are you alright?! Guys?!"
Error grunted as he folded his arms, "W-WoUld yoU-Ou st-sTop loO-oOking at tHe Arch-rChiteCtuRe-Ure? We- HEY!"
Ink turned to Error and watched as he swatted at a small brown bat flying around his skull. The skeleton couldn't help but snicker at the sight, which earned him a hard glare from the other.
"SH-sHut Up!" Error demanded and then at the bat, "G-gET oUt Of m-My fa-aCe!"
The bat fluttered halfway between the two skeletons before, with a puff of brown smoke, it transformed into what appeared to be a human at a glance. They wore a black suit with blood-red trimming and shirt underneath. Their skin was ghostly pale and they had a youthful face with piercing reddish-brown eyes lined with long dark lashes. Spikey sand-colored hair dangled over their forehead and brushed at the collar of their suit. Pearly white teeth gleamed at the skeletons in a sly smile.
Error glared at the figure in suspicion, "Wh-Wh-WHat the-"
"WHOA!" Ink interrupted his thought. The design of this character was so interesting.
At that moment, the figure finally spoke, "My apologies, old chap. Just wanted to give you a slight jump to welcome you to Devil's Manor."
"This is the Devil's manor?" Ink asked as he looked around. " Is he here now?
The figure chuckled, "No. This isn't the Devil's manor. Devil's Manor is the name of this fine building. Speaking of names, I am called Fennec. I'm the one in charge of Devil's Manor and it's guests."
"But, what is Devil's Manor?" Lilly asked as she moved around the piles of boxes.
"No one knows how its guests come to be within the walls of Devil's Manor. Its halls are full of twists that lead to doors hiding dark secrets. To leave, one must solve the mystery of the exit."
Lilly stopped a pile of boxes from tumbling over, "So, it's a puzzle? I like puzzles."
"I hate puzzles," Jackie groaned as they stared at the room before them.
Sally rubbed her chin in thought, "If we're careful, we should be able to solve it."
"And if we don't?"
Sally picked up a pebble and threw it into the room. After a few bounces, the floor disappeared and the pebble fell into the abyss. After the floor returned, Sally turned to her friend, "Then, it's a good thing that we can fly a little bit."
In a dark room, a hunched figure watched several cameras' feeds play on a screen before him. "Things just get more and more interesting," he smiled to himself.
Frisk opened the door and saw a giant brown eye that took up at least half of the doorframe. When the pupil landed on the child, the eye moved away and a mouth was seen in the doorway. The mouth opened, showing off large, white fangs. Frisk opened their own mouth, about to scream before running away. But then, a pink tongue slid out of the creature's mouth and through the doorway before licking against Frisk. Frisk stood there in shock as large drops of slober dropped from their hair, face, and clothes.
The creature happily panted and Frisk patted the black nose that was poking out, "G-good boy."
(I just had an idea pop into my head about putting characters into a large mansion. I might get to writing a story about this someday. But, I need to work on and finish some of my other stories. Especially if people want to know more about the backgrounds of my characters first.)

A dark oak door creeked open and everyone watched as a woman with long dirty-blonde hair walked into the room. A pair of red cat ears that curled back were flicking in agitation and her grey eyes were barely visible in the dim light as they glared at the image everyone else had turned away from. "What has he done this time?" she growled.
Suddenly, what appeared to be the woman's shadow with glowing red eyes came from behind her, causing half of the group to stiffen. "What has that murderer committed?" The hiss seemed to come from the shadow.
While everyone's eyes didn't leave the newcomer and her shadow, the woman turned to the shadow, "You must calm down, Yami. We'll stop him. But, we will need all of the help that we can get." The woman's eyes then returned to the group.
So mysterious!!
