Annie walked through the portal and saw that they weren't at Avengers Headquarters.
Peter looked to Annie.
"Annie, I said for us to go home!" Peter shouted and Annie looked shocked.
"I thought of home. This is where it brought me." Annie replied as she looked genuinely confused. Peter looked even more heartbroken but then he got angry.
Quentin Quire, The Alpha Squadron, The Beast, Colossus, Logan, Negasonic, and Yukio were walking outside when they saw Peter and Annie.
"What?! What did we do to deserve this?!" Peter shouted and Annie didn't know what to think.
"Dad, I didn't mean anything by it." Annie cried as she tried to keep it together.
"Your home is Avengers Headquarters, with your real family! You have two loving parents, and many more family members, and your taking us for granted! Your mom and I never had parents Annie! They died when we were kids! My uncle died when I was 13! I only had May until I had Tony and then I had the Avengers. Those are my family, and by extent they are yours! You used to love the Avengers! What happened?!" Peter shouted.
"I don't know!" Annie cried. "I kind of have a lot on my plate and at least when I'm here, I'm safe from Osborn's grasp!" Annie threw a low blow and Peter felt awful.
"You have a family that loves you. The kids here, they have nothing but this place." Peter made a big point.
"Dad," Annie cried as she couldn't keep it together. "I don't know what's happening to me, but something's changed." Annie was terrified of the thought. "What's gonna happen if I do turn out like Thanos? Are you gonna kill me? Oh wait you cant, I'm immortal." Annie pointed out and Peter shook his head.
"Your not Thanos." Peter insisted and Annie shook her head.
"Maybe not yet." Annie said and Peter realized that Annie was serious. Something was wrong and Annie was terrified of what it could be.
"Your coming back to Avengers Headquarters." Peter stated and Annie shook her head.
"Maybe it's best that I stay here for now." Annie said and Peter turned back to her.
"Your coming home. You have a holiday that you could still enjoy. Your birthday should be celebrated with us. The people who have raised you." Peter replied. "Now lets go." Peter said as he grabbed her hand. Annie formed a portal with one hand and Peter pulled her through it. Annie felt someone grab her shoulder and go with her as the portal closed. Annie turned and went to kick the person behind her and she was stopped. It was Quentin Quire. He smirked at her.
"You seemed like you could use some back up." Quentin said and Annie managed to smile at him. "When my parents started to see my mean side they had a similar discussion with me, and then I used my powers against them and they sent me away. I just wanna make sure you aren't headed in the same direction I was because I was never the same after that." Quentin said and Annie felt a tear fall down her cheek and Quentin looked sad. "Oh come on Parker, It's Christmas time, smile a little." Annie hugged Quentin.
"Thanks for the support." Annie sighed and then they parted and Quentin shrugged.
"No problemo." Quentin said and Annie let out a giggle.
"Ignoring the pink haired daisy," Tony sighed. "What did you find out?" Peter looked to Tony in heartbreak.
"She's immortal and she can't transfer the infinity forces back to us. We aren't worthy of them." Peter replied with a very shitty tone that was unlike anything Tony had heard from him. "She's also stronger than me, she heals faster than me, her senses are heightened more than mine, and that's just the tip of the iceberg." Peter said and then he got borderline angry. "Oh not to mention the fact that I told Annie that we needed to go home and when we got there it was the school for the weirdos, not here." Peter snapped and Tony looked disgusted by his attitude.
