Annie slowly woke up and saw that she was surrounded by the Alpha Squadron, her roommate Kitty, Happy and May, the rest of the Avengers who weren't there the night before, Peter, and MJ. Members of the Alpha Squadron were all talking to different Avengers about each others missions and everybody was laughing and having a good time. Annie felt more at home than she had ever been. She loved everyone in the room and it was amazing to see all of them together, getting along. That's when she realized that Quentin wasn't in the room.
"Where's Quentin?" Everybody grew silent as they looked to Annie. Peter walked over to her and grabbed her hand.
"Morlun escaped last night and Quentin went with the rest of the X-Men to go and stop him. They were successful, but Quentin got pretty torn up in the process. He's in the next hospital room over. We tried to get Colossus to put him in here with you, but they refused." Peter explained and then Annie looked genuinely bothered.
"You know, it used to be that I was always taking the hits of your enemies, always being blamed for your fights with them, but now, I cant help but feel like Quentin will constantly take the hits of my enemies." Annie sighed and Peter grabbed her hand tighter and she looked to him.
"Sweetie, that's what villains do when their opponent is stronger than they can handle. They try their best to break that opponent down emotionally so that their fight is easier. It's not fair, but that's just how it is, and it doesn't matter if you break up with him or not, they'll still find out about someone you care about, and they'll take it out on them. Trust me, I know exactly how you feel, but you have to understand, that it's not your fault." Peter reassured Annie and Annie got tears in her eyes and she started crying.
"I just love him so much." Annie cried and Peter gently pulled her into his arms and held her. Suddenly Colossus came in.
"Annie, good your awake." Colossus said. "You have two more visitors." Annie pulled away from Peter and wiped her tears away. "What is the matter? Quentin will be fine."
"Who's my visitor?" Annie asked and a woman and a man walked into the room and Annie didn't know who they were. They were older but something about them seemed familiar to Annie and she couldn't figure out why. Her spider-sense wasn't warning her though so she was patient. "Hi can I help you?" Annie asked. But she saw Peter stand up and the two people looked to Peter with tears in their eyes.
"What the hell?" Peter cried as he didn't know how to react. May stood up in shock.
"I know we have a lot of explaining to do." The woman said. "But I hope you know that we haven't stayed away by choice. Norman held us captive for a very long time, and someone finally found us." Peter looked to Annie.
"I need you to tell me if this is real, or if this is a trick." Peter sighed and Annie nodded as she wasn't sure what was going on.
"Ok." Annie said and Peter looked to the two adults.
"She needs to grab your hands because she's never met you before." Peter said and the woman walked forward and sat by Annie's side. She held her hand out and Annie put both hands on hers. One was on top and the other was on the bottom. Annie closed her eyes and started to read the womans soul and memories. She slowly opened her eyes and there were tears in them. She looked to Peter.
"That's your mom." Annie cried and Peter felt tears fill his eyes. The man walked over and held his hand out and Annie did the same to him. She opened her eyes and looked to Peter as she tried not to cry. "That's your dad." May ran over to the man and hugged him. Peter's parents were Richard and Mary Parker. Richard hugged May back and Peter ran over to his mom and hugged her.
