"Are those your sober thoughts?"

He looked at me with dark eyes. Napabaling ako sa ibang direksyon nang di niya inaalis ang tingin sa 'kin. Naisipan 'kong iuwi nalang siya sa kanila before it gets late. Baka nandito rin si kuya.

"Let's go," yaya ko. "I'll bring you home." I felt like a guy!

Tumango lang siya. He had no expression on his face when I grabbed his hand and started walking to the parking lot. Feelings, huh. Baka nagbibiro lang siya. He's not the type of guy who wants a serious relationship. And yet, I don't even know his past.

"Uwey, Christina Maddie!"

Napaatras ako nang mahulog sa dibdib ko si Erika. She looked drunk as hell!

"Erika!" I tried to make her stand. "Come with me, I'll take you both home."

Nakita 'kong tatango na sana siya nang lumingon siya sa likod ko. I looked back too, only to see JC looking at the other direction.

"Wag na!" She playfully swung her hand. "Party party lang!"

"Ha?!"

"Hamog! Haha!"

Oh my gosh, she's so high. Yayayain ko na sana si Erika nang makita 'kong pabalik na siya sa dance floor. JC went straight to the parking lot, not calling me.

"Hey wait!"

Nang malapit na siya sa kotse ko, hinanap ko ang susi sa bag ko.

"A-Ako na," I said when he was about to open my car door.

He stubbornly opened the door at the shotgun seat. "It's open."

Shit, 'di ko na lock! I was such in a rush!

I opened the driver's seat and started the engine. He's acting a lot sober now, or maybe he is. Tinignan ko siya in my peripheral vision, nakatitig lang siya labas.

"Do you want water? I can buy at 7/11."

"No," he said in a monotone.

"O-Okay."

Ang tahimik na ng byahe namin pauwi sa kanila. It was always like that but this time, the atmosphere was gloomy.

 

"W-Wala ka 'bang gustong kainin?" I tried to ease off the awkwardness.

 

"Just drive." I gaze at him, he had his hand on his forehead.

   

My mood changed when he ignored me when our gaze met. I carried one of his shoulder and rang their doorbell. Unexpectedly, a tall lady opened for me. I haven't seen her around even though I was always around his house. She looked like she's in her mid-thirties, maybe his mom?
