"noona, i know we only went out once and that we always sit down at lunch together recently. i-uh, you know, i really like you, minji-noona," he said, trying to look at minji in the eyes. minji wasn't surprised at the boy's sudden confession, so she smiled.

"well, uh, do you wanna, maybe, give it a try?" he asked, ear heating up.

"hyunjin, you're a sweet guy, honestly. you've always been so kind to me, but i'll be honest." minji started, "i don't know if i like you."

hyunjin's face started to show what he felt: sadness.

"but," minji started, getting hyunjin's attention, confused. "what i know is, that i should give you a chance. you've been such a kind person to me, hyunjin-ah," minji said, pinching his cheek a bit, making him smile.

"s-so, are you saying-"

"yes, jinnie. let's give it a shot. but im not promising anything, okay?" she said, reminding hyunjin. the boy nodded his head, happy that he can finally date minji.

they arrived at minji's front door, hand in hand. on the way home, hyunjin was smiling, thinking of what minji told him earlier. they were happily talking too, not like awhile ago they were silent.

"thank you for today noona, thank you also for saying yes to me," hyunjin said with a smile. minji nodded, smiling at the boy.

"thanks too, for you know, liking me," she chuckled.

"noona, that's not even a thing to be thankful for. many people in my class like you!" the boy said, making minji confused.

"how do they know me?" she asked.

"well, when there are times that you and woojin-hyung put the teacher's stuff on the table in our room they see you," he explained. minji scratched her head, realizing that.

"well, i am pretty, am i not?" she said jokingly, flipping her hair.

"yes noona, very." hyunjin said, giggling. making minji smile.

"it's getting dark, hyunjin. you better go now." she said, making the boy nod.

"i'll see you tomorrow noona. can i pick you up?" he asked all of a sudden. surprised, minji nodded.

"sure! just text me what time, okay?" she said. hyunjin nodded.

"i'll get going now, noona. bye!" he said, waving to the girl. minji waved back, and as soon as hyunjin was out of sight, minji closed the door and went up to her room with a smile.

"creep, what are you smiling at?" her brother asked making her roll her eyes.

"none of your business, shithole." she said, proceeding to go to her room.

she took off her bag and changed to more comfy clothes and called her friends who immediately picked up.

"what do you need now?"

"new tea? what happened to you and hyunjin? did you guys do something-"

"shut up minho."

"so, what happened?"

"hyunjin and i are kinda together now."

"what?!"

"dumbasses don't scream at my ear!" minji exclaimed, annoyed at her friends.

"but how? you never mentioned you liked hyunjin"

"i don't. i just said we give it a try. i told him no promises."

"minji, be careful. you might hurt the boy in the end"

"i won't woojin. i promise i won't."
