I don't own Percy Jackson.

Hi! I know I haven't written in forever, but I just got back from my family thing Friday night and have been getting back into a normal routine these last two days. Anyway, I have a few chapters for different stories that I'm either ready to post or almost ready to post, but I thought I would post this short story really quick. I found the idea for this story on Pinterest, but it was just about a normal kid not Percy. When I saw it I thought it fit Percy perfectly. I'll post the inspiration at the end of the story.

Percy's (age 17) POV

I'm sitting on the beach with The Seven, Nico, and Rayna. We are all just talking about random things when the subject of the first monster we saw comes up.

"What was yours, Percy?" Leo asks.

"It was the snake you killed when you were like two, right?" Asks Annabeth.

"Nope," I answer. "The first real monster I saw was Mr. Bubbles."

"Who?" Reyna asks while the others laugh at the name.

"The monster under my bed. Didn't you all have a monster under your bed, who was there to scare you?" I ask. The others shake their heads and say no.

"Maybe, you just don't remember yours. Let me tell you the story of Mr. Bubbles.

He was maybe my 20th monster. He came one night and tried to scare me, but it didn't work because I had a different monster. Anyway, he saw what was going on and decided to stay with me. I haven't seen him in a few years."

Mr. Bubbles (12 years ago, Percy is 5) POV

Every kid in the world is assigned a monster who lives under their bed from the time they are newborn babies until they are teens. Most kids have the same monster for those thirteen years. Some kids do get a new monster, although that doesn't happen often, but there is this one kid who just doesn't seem to be afraid of any of his monsters. His first monster he got when he was born and that monster only lasted until he was two. Then, he got a new monster that lasted for a year. After that he seemed to get a new monster every two weeks! I have tried every monster that is willing to go. Most refuse after the scariest monster I have, Tim, came back crying! I guess it's my turn.

I look at the file one more time.

Name: Perseus (Percy) Jackson
Age: Five
Mother: Sally Jackson
Father: Unknown
Step-father: Gabe Ugliano
Mother's Monster: Carrie Claw Face
Father's Monster: Unknown
Step-father's Monster: Smelly Sam
Bedtime: 8:30 PM
Arrival Time: 8:25 PM
Note(s): He has scared away all of his other monsters. His favorite color is blue. His favorite toy is his bear, Mr. Blue.

I sigh, I haven't worked under the beds in almost twenty years. I'm the manger for the New York Branch of Monsters. I look at my clock, 8:23, time for me to go. I stand up from my desk and walk out from behind it, careful not to get any of my arms/legs caught on anything. I glanced at myself in the mirror to make sure all three rows of sharp teeth look good. Then I go to the tube that will bring me under Percy's bed.

I arrive right on time, 8:25. I take the extra five minutes to look around Percy's room and see if I can find anything to help me scare him. There is not much in his room. Just a bed, with a blue comforter, blue pillow, and a blue teddy bear, that has to be Mr. Blue. A small white dresser and a few toys put neatly in the corner.

I decide to start with a classic. Taking the kid's favorite toy off their bed and putting it so, you can just see it from under the bed. Then when they go to pick it up you scare them. So, I take Mr. Blue off of the bed and position him just right.
