I don't own Percy Jackson.

Hazel's POV (July 18th)

I kill the Hellhound that was running at me. Then, I turn to look at my friends. No one says anything, the only sound is water dripping from the ceiling of the cave somewhere in the distance. Then, the humming from the elevator fills the cave.

"Do you think it's them?" Leo asks.

"I don't know, we can only hope. There's still a few minutes before it will be here," Jason tells him.

There's nothing we can do, but hold our weapons and hope that the elevator brings our friends and not more monsters.

Three Minutes Later

The elevator opens to reveal Percy and Annabeth. They step back when the doors open. No one moves. We all just look at them. They're covered from head to toe in blood, sweat, dirt, and dust. Their clothes are ripped and Percy doesn't have any shoes on.

Percy looks around. "Did you guys kill all the monsters without me?" He steps out of the elevator, Annabeth follows.

"Yeah," Frank says laughing, "yeah, we did kill all the monsters."

Annabeth speaks up. "Good, I'm not in the mood to fight anymore monsters," she says.

"Yeah," Percy agrees. "I'm a little dizzy. Maybe, I'll just sit down for a minute." He leans against the wall and slides down to the floor. He leans his head back against the wall and closes his eyes.

Annabeth looks down at him, "he's barely slept since we fell."

"Oh, my gods. How does he not sleep?" Leo tries to joke. "I love sleeping!"

"He didn't want anything to happen to us while we were sleeping. Even when it was my turn to be on watch, he was awake. I mean, I get it, I didn't sleep much either," she says as she sits down next to him. "I'm just going to sit for a minute. Then, we can go back to the ship."

"Yeah, of course," Jason says, "rest for as long as you need to."

Annabeth rests her head on Percy's shoulder and closes her eyes. After about a minute Leo speaks up, "guys, I don't think Percy is breathing!"

Piper drops down next to him. We all wait for a minute before she answers, "he is, but just barely. We need to get him back to the ship so that we can help them. Jason gets Annabeth, Frank, you get Percy."

Frank waits for Jason to lift Annabeth off Percy and then, the two boys hurry to the ship. The rest of us follow as quickly as we can.

We get back to the ship and Couch has the boys bring them to the infirmary so, he can try and help them before he leaves with Nico and Renya.

Percy's POV (July 21st)

It was finally decided that it is ok for me and Annabeth to leave the infirmary yesterday. We just stayed in Annabeth's room all day, but today we decide to go out and talk to the other people on the ship. Piper and Annabeth went to Piper's room to hang out, which leaves me alone. I'm just sitting thinking about my life when I realize something, I don't know what date it is and I don't own a calendar to check, so I decide to ask someone. I have to think about who to ask though. It can't be Annabeth, she won't know and I don't want to interrupt her girl time. Not, Jason, we are ok friends, but I think he is with Frank and I'm not ready for that much social interaction. Not Leo, I mean he's nice and all, I just don't know him that well. Frank is with Jason and Piper is with Annabeth, so that leaves one person, Hazel. I don't know why she didn't want to hang out with Piper and Annabeth, I think it's because she's worried about Nico, but she is the perfect person to ask. She has become a kind of like a little sister to me, even though she is my cousin.

I walk down the hall, her door is open, I knock on the door frame. She looks up.

"Hey," she says. "Come in and sit down."

She is drawing at her desk, so I sit on the end of her bed.

     "What's up?" She asks.

"I have a question," I tell her. "I was thinking and I realized I don't know what day it is. Do you know what day it is?"

"Oh," she says. "Yeah, it's July 21st."

Hazel's POV (July 21st)

Percy asks me what day it is and when I tell him it's the 21st he goes pale.

"What's wrong? Do I need to get someone? Something?" I also jump up, hitting my leg on the side of my desk.

"I missed Annabeth's birthday," Percy says. "She was in that place for her 17th birthday. What kind of boyfriend am I? I forgot her birthday! I have to throw her a party!"

"Ok, slow down. You didn't forget her birthday, you didn't know what day it was. It's not your fault that she was down there. She won't be mad at you. Do you want me to help plan a party?"

     Percy nods, "yes."

"Ok," I sit down and pull out a notebook. "Let's write down some ideas. We don't have a lot of supplies, but we can work with what we have."

"Ok, I don't know where to start."

"Let's start with things that she likes."

"Ok, she likes the color grey, drawing, blueprints, me, owls, building things, cupcakes, me, helping people, being right, having a plan, me. She likes me and my jokes."

I laugh, "that's a good place to start. Now, let's plan the best birthday party even."

We start a list of all the things that Annabeth likes and how we can throw her a small party. In the end, it's decided that I will help Percy make cupcakes and a card to give her tonight.

"Thank you, Hazel," Percy says. "You're the best!"

"No problem," I tell him. "I'm happy to help."

That night while the sun is setting I knock on Annabeth's bedroom door. "Hey," she says. "What's up?"

"Percy is up on the deck," I tell her. "He asked me to come and get you."

She nods and stands up, "thanks, Hazel." I watch as she walks up to the top deck. I decide to spy on them for a minute.

"Hey," Percy says. "I realized today that we missed your 17th birthday and I didn't think you would want a big party, so Hazel helped me make cupcakes and a card."

Annabeth smiles, maybe for the first time since they got back, "thank you! I love it! I love you!"

"I love you too!" Percy kisses her and I head back downstairs to give them some privacy.

Thanks for reading! If you can't tell by the writing style this is another one that was half done. I hope you liked it!
