3rd Pov

No one seemed to talk to Ban during the rest of the fight. They knew he was hurt and they knew he didn't mean it. 

He felt pain in his chest like he just lost someone else and he knew that he could If he wasn't careful. 

y/n on the other hand was on her way to the tavern whipping away tears that she had, hoping she could sneak past Diane and Elizabeth. Clearly that didn't work. 

"Lord y/n?" 

A sweet voice that belongs to Elizabeth starts walking to y/n in concern. y/n looks up and just runs past her into the tavern to wanting to not involve them.

In her room sobs could be heard as she contemplates what Ban said to her. 

'Should I be here? what was even my purpose? I hurt someone once, I could do it again!' she tells herself. She hears footsteps coming up the stairs and a knock on the door. Her crying stops but she didn't answer. 

On the other side of the door, a hurt Ban stands thinking of what to say. Hearing her cry crushed him in lots of ways. and all he wanted to say was Im sorry over and over again while giving y/n reassuring hugs.

Y/n has always been more sensitive ever since Elaine's passing. Ban finally found the courage to speak up. 

"y/n, look. Im not good at showing my emotions and I feel you should know that. So I'm sorry if what I say doesn't comply with your request for an apology." 

This catches her attention because he never says sorry for anything.

"I know what I said hit you differently. I never intended for it to mean what It did I was just trying to make a point. I really do love you n/n. If anything were to happen to you, my litter sister, I don't know what I or even the sins for that matter would do."

y/n quietly walks to the door and tears form in her eyes again. The fact he was even trying to apologize meant he cared.

"And about cap'n" 

this caught her attention.

"He cares about you in a way- in a way that Is different than the rest of us. I don't think it's my place to tell you, but I think it's your place to tell him how you really feel."

Tears lightly went down her face. She had been trying to ignore her feelings but they would keep drifting back to the time he was crying when they had that kiss. her face heated up at the though. 

She wanted to forgive him, she really did. But what he said still lingered in her head so she knew she couldn't just yet.

She pushed open the door to see a sad-eyed Ban and he looked down at her. She looked up at him with tear filling eyes and she buried her head in his torso wrapping her arms around him which he returned. 

"thank you." he sighed in relief but that soon went away.

"But, I can't forgive you right away" he tenses up and she lets go of him walking past Ban. "Not for a while" He feels like his heart stopped. "yeah.." 

It tore her to see him like that but it was for the best. She walks downstairs and goes to sit next to Meli and Ban comes down soon after. he sits across from us keeping his distance and tension fills the air.

y/n pov

"Sooo.." Meli begins, 

"I need to go find my sword that was stolen! who wants to go!" everyone looks at him with bored expressions. 

"the one who lost it was you so you would get it," King says with not interest, "sounds like a chore, I'll pass." Ban adds.

 "You should take responsibility" I laugh a little at Gowthers statement.

"Sure, I'll go with you!" I say happily. Meli looks at me with a smile and I return it avoiding eye contact with Ban who I feel's the eye's on me.

"Thanks, n/n! I know I can count on you!" Meli says causing me to blush a little. "And if you don't mind me asking meli, what's so important about that sword?" 

Meli nods and begins explaining. "The sword- No, the dragon handle that was stolen from me is a fragment of a ritual relic "The Coffin Of Eternal Darkness"

"The coffin of eternal darkness?" Ellie asks in confusion. 

"Its something mentioned in old folk-lore. In the Ancient past, the goddess clan, giant clan, fairy clan, and humans united and used that Relic to seal the demon clan." I nod my head to show I understand.

Ellie begins to look worried so I walk next to her and rub her back reassuringly. In return, she looks at me with a smile.

"Then...does that mean that the holy knights are trying to resurrect the demon clan? do they want to bring them back and be friends with them or something? No way, thats-" I put a hand on her shoulder.

"Calm down Ellie, take a breath," I say trying to calm her down 

3rd pov

"wait, I have a question, they always seem to be capturing y/n for some reason. Why are they after her and Ellie so much?" King asks as y/n walks to the other side of the room.

"Because she's a special breed you see" She feels a hand on her shoulder and she freezes up. 

"Y/N!!" yells Meliodas and Ban as they try to reach her, but before they could do anything, she was gone in a puff of smoke
