Cut to Rou Flodi. Mid-day. Enter the Jedi Temple. The giant statues of past Jedi tower about our heroes.
"Look at these!" G7 exclaims.
Jeb sees one that he recognizes. It's his father.
Sarodhi stops. "Is that?"
Jeb responds, "Yeah. My father..."
Jedi Master Orisus Dytrillia greets them. Kellus walks up to greet his fellow master.
Dytrillia, a Mon Calamari, shakes Kellus' hand. "Glad to see you are alive my friend. The council and I were beginning to worry. Come, let us meet with the council."
Cut right to the council room. Jedi masters, human and alien alike, sit in a circle around our heroes. Jeb and Kellus stand in the middle. Sarodhi and G7 stand outside.
"What do you think they are talking about?" G7 asks.
"Hope." Sarodhi responds.
Cut back to the council room. The clouds pass the windows in the room.
Kellus speaks first. "The Sith have taken over Scora. Emperor Ravok has sent his forces to the mines. Darth Zekko is supervising the operation. We must act now to free the planet."
Master Melek Leli, a female human, responds,
"If the Sith are using Scora for the Kyber Mines, we can only assume they are using it for some kind of weapon."
Master Dytrillia pipes in. "Yes. We must act fast I do agree. The council will decide if we should intervene or not."
Kellus shares more info, "We have with us a young member of the Resilience. We can contact them and gain reinforcements. Then we can begin our assault on the planet and free the people."
Jedi Master Nazo Chorbli, a T'wilek, speaks, "Yes. The Resilience will help. I am good friends with their leader General Quitos."
Dytrillia looks eyes with Jeb. "And who might you be?" He asks.
Jeb responds, "My name is Jeb Rangor. Son of Gareth Rangor."
The masters look at each other. "Is this true Master Kellus?" Dytrillia asks.
"Yes. I found him...I mean he found me. With the council's permission, I would like to take young Jeb on as my padawan. To follow in his father's footsteps." Kellus proudly responds.
Dytrillia looks at Jeb again, "Young Jeb. Why do you want to be a Jedi?"
Jeb speaks up, "To protect people. To bring peace to the galaxy. To finish what my father began."
Dytrillia nods. "Young Jeb, I see your father in you. You have that same spirit he had. Leave us. We must speak to Kellus alone."
Jeb nods and exits the room. Outside, Sarodhi is trying to listen in.
"How did it go?" She asks.
"They are talking it over. It went ok I think." Jeb says reluctantly.
"You'll be a Jedi Jeb." G7 adds.
"Thank you G." Jeb replies.
The doors open.
Kellus comes out. "Jeb, can you come in."
Sarodhi whispers, "Good luck."
Jeb walks in. Standing there. The masters looking at him.
Dytrillia speaks. "Jeb Rangor...You will be trained as a Jedi under the leadership of Master Var Kellus. Welcome to the Jedi Order. We are proud to have you."
Jeb smiles at Kellus. "Thank you sir. I am ready."
"The council has decided to sit this battle out. With the help of the Resilience you and Kellus can lead a team into Scora as liberate it. This is your fight. The Sith will cower back to their base. May the force be with you all." Dytrillia says as he shows them out.
Kellus nods and they exit. "Well my young padawan, these are your first steps into a larger world. The force is strong with you." Kellus says to Jeb.
Sarodhi smiles knowing the answer.
"Sarodhi, contact the Resilience and tell them to meet us on Scora. The Jedi are sitting this fight out. It isn't their time. Can you do that?" Kellus asks.
"On it. When we get back to the Centurion I will send out a message." She says.
The heroes take the shuttle back to the landing pad. The sun is starting to set. The alien mechanics greet Sarodhi. "Cha To Nakita Oda"
G7 translates. "They found something on your ship when they were refueling. It looks like a tracker!"
The alien hands Sarodhi the tracker. "Oh no...we have to go, NOW!" She yells.
They look up in the atmosphere and out of hyperspace, the Elitist Star Destroyer from the Bontal Point spaceport is seen above them. They board the Centurion and take off. It pans to the bridge of the destroyer. Officer Von is inside.
"Launch fighters immediately! No survivors!" Von commands.
Elitist fighters drop from the hangar bay in the destroyer.
"We have company!" Jeb yells from the ship.
"Man the guns! I'll take the front!" Sarodhi shouts.
Kellus and Jeb get inside the duel gunner turrets and begin shooting at the ships. The Centurion drops down to try and lose the fighters. Unsuccessful.
"I can't shake em!" Sarodhi screams.
"We're doomed..." G7 says.
"Keep hope alive!" Kellus replies.
Jeb pinpoints a fighter on his radar. "I got you."
He fires and the ship explodes and falls into the clouds below.
"GOT HIM!" Jeb exclaims.
Sarodhi maneuvers up above the star destroyer. But the destroyer begins to fire on the ship.
"We will never make it past the destroyer!" Jeb yells.
"Hang on!" Sarodhi tells her friends.
The destroyers blast hits the radar shield off of the Centurion. But Sarodhi is smart.
They ascend into space, but still in Rou Flodi atmosphere. The colors of the clouds are beautiful. Orange and pink as the sun sets. The ominous destroyer gets lost in the clouds as the Centurion flies into space. But the fighters follow.
"Prepare the jump to hyperspace!" Sarodhi shouts.
Jeb grips onto the arm rest on his chair. The Centurion rips into hyperspace. But the fighters and the star destroyer go as well. Following our heroes into deep space...
