As the situation in the US has been escalating every day, it's awful to see those peaceful protesters being badly attacked by the police in their very own land. Be it blacks or whites, the underlying truth remains the same that they are humans. They are hurt, they also have emotions, they are in pain and the only thing which they demand is to end racism. Their people are being brutally killed and choked to death by the cops. It no longer is the problem of one country but of the entire world. In some places it's the castesim and other places it is racism, just the name differs.
In countries like India still casteism and religions play a vital role. For instance even if a family is looking for a groom for their bride or the vice versa, the first criteria which is imposed is that the bride/ groom should be of their caste and religion.
What kind of criteria is that?
A few days back I read a news which spoke about an inter-religion marriage. A Hindu woman married a Muslim guy and she was trolled just because she loved and married a Muslim. Similarly, another news wherein a Muslim guy was forced to sing the national anthem by the cops at the anti- CAA protests. He was beaten up by them.
Is this right?
What kind of a world are we in?
Just because a few terrorists attacked India and are still behind us, is it right to blame the entire Muslim community? There are definitely people who had nothing to do with these attacks but are still blamed just because they are Muslims. India is a versatile land, we hold different religions within our country. And in this case is it right to blame someone for something which they have never done just because they belong to the same religion. I don't think so, they are our brothers and sisters is what I have been taught. I have taken that pledge throughout my life that all Indians are my brothers and sisters. By all Indians I also mean my fellow religion mates be it a Muslim or a christian. In fact why only religion? I go one step ahead and always say that even Pakistan was once a part of India, even they are my brothers and sisters. The country with whom we have been fighting for years and still are, were a part of us. Weren't they?
A few Britishers could easily part us away, ever thought how? They easily sowed a seed of hatred in our hearts, and how?
Give a thought for a second and then proceed.
The answer is simple. They clearly knew that Indians are divided by castes and religion from heart and have the habit of fighting against one another. They just had to add some fuel to the situation and yes they succeeded. Today we do deals with the same British country and we are in good alliance with them. Aren't they the ones who made us their slaves? Didn't they kill our people? Didn't they split us from our brothers and sisters now in Pakistan? Think ahead people, if we can join hands with the Britishers today then why not improve our ties with Pakistan? I post the same question to Pakistan as well, why can't they try to improve their ties with us?
Being an Indian, I have always been brought up listening to shit against Muslims. But that never changed my mind and heart towards them. I always believed they were also humans like me. They also had emotions, anger, pain but when the same gets converted into revenge, we end up in destruction. I also believe that not everyone has the power to take these emotions in the right sense. As a Pakistani parent or an Indian parent feed their kids with a hatred emotion against India and Pakistan respectively. We can't expect the kid to take those words in a positive sense and try to change this hatred feeling. I so wish I could ever see India and Pakistan together. I feel pathetic when we fight against each other.
I am an Indian, a Hindu, and I really want to tell this today to all those Pakistani's and Muslims out there that I love you all. You are a part of our flesh and you are not wrong because this hatred was sowed in your and also our hearts. I so wish I could switch time.
There are terrorist gangs who commit crimes but what about the other Muslims, not everyone is a terrorist. This might just sound like another sentence to you but it is something that I wanted to tell since long. I gain nothing out of telling this but this gives me some confidence that one day before I breathe my last I will see Hindu's and Muslims together. To be more precise India and Pakistan together.
Until then I will keep trying to talk to people around me and change at least one person's hatred to love against the Muslims. If you agree with me then do make it a task to change this hatred to love. If Britishers have been forgiven then Muslims also need to be given that chance. Why are we showing our anger and frustration on them?
I as an Indian Hindu, feel sorry to all my Muslim brothers and sisters who face the wrath of hatred from all other communities for no reason. I will be waiting for the day when I can visit Pakistan and they can come here without any fear.
I want to end this castesim and religionism in my country, are you with me in this initiative? If yes, then leave a comment on the comment box below saying "I love all the Muslims and they are our brothers and sisters "
Let me know that I am not alone in this fight
