| "Clean this mess, fatty.", my stepfather said. "No I won't. You cant expect me to clean up your mess everytime you drink alcohol." As soon as I said that, I felt a stinging sensation on my cheek. I touched my cheek, hissing at the burning sensation. "You are just as stupid and useless as your dead mother. Your mother was stupid to have you and was stupid to trust a guy like me. You are of no importance to me. You're just a fat, useless chick who is dependent on my money."
I glared at my stepdad and did something I never imagined doing. I punched him with all the strength I had. "Talk bad about me or make fun of me I'll take it but dont you dare talk about my mother. My dad's death broke her a lot and she told me to respect you because after my dad she loved you. I dealt with all the times you made fun of me but once you touch the topic of my mother I swear I wont hesitate to murder you."
I immediately went to my room and packed my things. I left that house and went to my friend Dayeon's house. From that day I started living with her. Well her and 3 more friends of mine; Hana, EunA and Jiae. The 5 of us started living together and since I didnt want to be a burden I started looking for an apartment for me to stay at. For that I started working as a cashier in a cafe and the owner of the cafe was sweet enough to rent an apartment for me. |

| "Eomma! I'm leaving for my job!", I shouted while wearing my shoes. I heard footsteps coming towards me which made me turn around. "I kept some money in your wallet. You dont have to work at the pet shop, TaeTae. You have your father's and my money.", my mom said. "I know that, eomma. But I want to help you both as well. I dont care if you both run a company and earn a lot of money. I really appreciate your hardwork but I really want to help in running this house."
"Plus, working at a pet shop is awesome. I get to take care of all the puppies, kittens, birds, bunnies, fishes and a lot more animals and I really enjoy their company. I love seeing little kids jumping around, excited to see their new fluffy family member. The happiness on their faces make me really happy and it makes me happier knowing that I'm the who is giving them the privilege to take care of the small baby animals. I'll come home by afternoon, okay? Do not overwork yourself when you go to the company.", I said and took my wallet from my mother.
I hugged her and kisses her head before leaving the house and going to my car. The pet shop I work at is an hour drive from my house. The moment I entered the shop I was greeted by the puppies barking, kittens meowing, the birds flying around. Yes I keep the birds free because it's bad enough that they cant fly outside the shop so instead of locking them in a cage I let them fly around the shop. |
