TITLE CHANGE !
as you can probably tell, I changed the title & cover of the book mainly because I wasn't really feeling it and it felt kinda bland to me.
I hope you like the new change to the cover & title, if not... I'm sorry ):

(also that's the dress she's wearing on stage, if you're not a fan of it you can think of something else that you prefer)

I HEAR THE microphone feedback screech through the speakers, reminding me that I should probably return to the stage. It didn't really matter, though, I'm the last one to say my dumb speech because of my last name.

I run my hands through the vintage curls as I wrap my arms around myself. I look around the carnival, feeling as if people are staring at me.

"Hey! What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be behind the curtains?" I hear the familiar voice of one of my friends call out to me. I look up off the dirty floor, and find Emma, Noah and Audrey staring at me.

"Yeah, I just came for a breather." I inform them and they nod.

"Yeah, Zoe was just telling me that she has stage fright. I guess the same thing is happening to you?" Noah questions as we begin to make our way towards the stage.

"Uh, yeah. Sure." I lie, no this has nothing to do with stage fright.

"Just picture everyone naked, I heard it in a song once." Emma suggests and I let out a small chuckle.

"I'll do that."

"Let's walk to the stage together," Emma grabs one of my arms that is wrapped around myself and lightly pulls me to her. "Don't let the stage fright get to you."

"I'll try." I say to her as the four of us begin making our way towards the stage where Zoe has just started on her speech.

___

Brooke walks on the stage, however her demeanour is changed. Her straight blonde hair looks messy, with some parts of her straight hair becoming wavy.

She wobbles towards the microphone and almost stumbles towards it. Did Zoe give Brooke the entire flask?

"I, um... I had a speech prepared that I, uh... I worked on with my dad," Brooke smiles and looks at her father who stands with the crowd staring up at his beautiful daughter. "Hi, Daddy!" She waves to him. "But, uh... I think I'm just gonna wing it. Look at us... having a carnival... making speeches..."

"Is she drunk?" Audrey whispers to Noah.

"Either that, or she's recently suffered a blow to the head." Noah answers with a nod.
