Earlier on, when I said it was a mess, I wasn't lying.

Kieran brought his gun to school and left it in his locker. When he went to retrieve it, he was caught, causing Sheriff Acosta to take Kieran away and question him. After a while, he returned but this time with the cops at his side. They walked over to Emma and Acosta asked for Jake's phone.

Okay, well, not asked, they ordered Emma to give in his phone. Acosta took the phone from Emma and takes her in for questioning. Also, Noah still hasn't returned from his little mission with Kieran whereas Kieran stands alone in the corner of the room.

After a couple of minutes, Emma returns but with an angry look on her face. She storms to Kieran and the two argue about why her boyfriend told on her.

I think everyone in this room is getting antsy. We all need to get out of here and be as far away from each other.

Deputy Dwayne enters the room, his eyes look around, almost as if he's searching for someone. His dark eyes find mine, "Roberts, come with me please."

My eyes widen and I sigh before getting out of my seat beside Stavo. Before I could walk away, Stavo whispers, "good luck."

I smile and follow Dwayne out of the room. I could feel the students eyes on me. I can hear their whispers, they're all talking about me.

Dwayne leads me to the empty principal's office and Sheriff Acosta sits on the head chair. Dwayne points to the uncomfortable looking brown chair which I have to sit on and turns around to exit the room.

"Mia Roberts," Acosta looks at me and then at the pile of papers in front of him. "You're dating my son, right?"

"Um, no. Not really. I mean... I don't know." I shrug.

We told each other we like each other but we didn't really do anything about it and I don't know if we ever would because it just seems like when we tell each other our feelings, something happens. He told me he liked me but I walked away because I fucked up. I told him that I liked him but I got called to go out on stage for the Finalists of Lady Pageant.

"You should probably speak to him about that," he says with a chesty laugh escaping from his dry mouth, I just give him a smile. "My son, is he a good guy to you?"

"Of course. He's the best."

"I'll go easy on you." He smirks.

"No need to, I don't have anything to hide."

Acosta lets out an airy chuckle before looking dead straight in my eyes, "I just want to thank you for joining me. Now, how long have you known Jake Fitzgerald?"

"Since pre-k." I answer truthfully.

"Who was the closest to Fitzgerald?"

"Brooke, obviously. But, the whole Piper Shaw thing brought all of us closer in a weird way. We all hoped it was over and after months of complete silence, we were finally free... except now."
