Clay woke to the sun shining off of George's soft skin and the sound of his beating heart in his ears. The combination of the two made him smile, waking up to the sleeping face of the person he loved every day was something he treasured now that they've moved in together.
It was finally the late summer before their senior year of college, they spent most of their days going to the beach or staying in to play games together and watch movies.
Their apartment walls were littered with items from past dates, seeing that Clay wouldn't show up in any photos they tried to take together. Which they tried, a lot.
Instead of taking pictures together, they made an effort to take photos of the scenery of their dates. Little memories of their own created from Clay's inability to be seen in pictures.
Any and all feelings Clay had about hating his life as a vampire we're replaced with happy ones about having George in his life. He still had those feelings every once in a while that George might not let Clay turn him into a vampire, and he'd have his heart broken as he would have to watch George grow older without him. Clay tried his best to ignore it and focus on what he had in the moment.
This short, cute, brown eyed british boy in his arms is all he needed. He placed a hand on George's head, running his fingers through his boyfriend's hair as it lulled him back to sleep, not that he actually needed to sleep, but he wanted to. It helped him feel human in a way.
When he woke up for the second time, George was a lot closer and a Clay's arm was draped loosely around him as they spooned. Clay's hand felt its way over top of George's gripping lightly as Clay nuzzled the back of George's neck.
"Mm, that tickles." George giggled, voice still groggy from sleep. Clay smiled pressing a kiss to the back of George's neck.
"What, you mean like this?" Clay's hands practically flew to George's stomach, poking and moving around quickly. Clay sat up, watching as George fell into a pit of giggles and laughter. His eyes squeezed shut with tears in them from the overwhelming feeling of Clay poking at his sides.
"Oh George~," Clay laughed, continuing his onslaught on George's sides. George was taking deep breaths in between giggles, kicking his legs wildly about.
"S-stop!" A fit laughter interrupted George. "C-Clay! Stop it you idiot." His laughter got caught in his throat, becoming hiccups as Clay stopped tickling him, his hands still resting on George's sides. George was sitting up now, smiling as he looked at Clay.
George took a second before he pushed himself forward and down, forcing Clay to fall backwards as George was laying on top of him, arms wrapped around the taller. Clay rested his hands on George's lower back, as he stared lovingly into brown eyes.
"I love you." George planted a kiss to Clay's forehead and Clay smiled, trying to lean up to kiss George on the lips, pouting as George pulled away before he could.
"No." George's hand pushed Clay's face away. "Go brush your teeth."
"Whaaat? You just said you loved me and now you don't want me to kiss you that's not fair." Clay complained as George rolled off of him and got out of bed, standing up at stretching.
"You can kiss me after you brush your teeth, you stinky little bloodsucker." George entered the bathroom, brushing his teeth as he heard Clay from the bedroom.
"I love you too. But who are you calling little, you're 5'9. You're pretty much a mouse compared to me." Clay came into the bathroom, George instinctively moving to the side to let Clay brush his teeth too.
