-Warnings: blood/wound-
The criminal sped on his motorbike, dodging between the cities buildings as to avoid the cops who were chasing him. He was nearing a suburban area just outside of the cities limits rapidly, but for the first time in his history of dodgy crimes, the police were on still on his tail.

"Why won't they just leave me alone!" He yelled, revving his motorcycle and speeding through a red light, passing between two large trucks, effectively losing the cops for hopefully another half mile.

I could go further into the city or I could go into the suburbs... more cops in the city... more hiding spots in the suburbs... suburbs it is... The criminal thought, his smiley mask tethered tightly to his face by a string in the back. It covered his eyes and nose, but not his mouth.

He slowed to a stop at the opening of the suburbs, gloved hands parking and dragging the motorcycle behind a car as police sirens drew closer.

"Already?!" He whined, quickly taking off on foot. His green shirt helped to blend into bushes as a cop car passed him by quickly. He looked through the sleepy neighborhood, seeing a few alleyways he could take, a heavy blue alexandrite pendant hanging from his neck.

He jumped a fence, sliding between two houses as he heard a cop yell to their partner. "This is his bike! The bastard has to be around here! Get the dogs!"

Shit he cursed.

"What was that?" A cop muttered, hearing the twig that snapped under the criminal's foot.

FUCK. The criminal took off once more, avoiding the streets.

"That was him! That was Dream!" The cop yelled, "Get in the cruiser, he can't get far on foot!"

"You'd be surprised..." Dream muttered, flinching to the side as he heard a BANG and then a bullet whizz by his shoulder. "He's over here!" The cop's partner yelled, requesting backup on her radio.

Dream took a sharp turn through the backyard of a large home, jumping over chairs and then jumping over a fence. He scanned the homes frantically for a good exit point. I've avoided the police so many times yet this is when they're doing well? Dream's eyes landed on a home with a second story light on and an open window. A perfectly sized and climbable tree just outside of it.

"Bingo." He panted, catching his breath. I'll do a circle around the neighborhood and then climb the tree and hopefully escape.

Another bullet whirred last him, this time coming from a cop car blocking off his way through the alley. "We've got you now kid!"

He backed up, squeezing his way behind a house and out the other side.

Looks like a change of plans. Dream ran out into the street and across the sidewalk, a bullet grazed his shoulder, causing him to cry out.

"He's hit!" The woman cop yelled, blue lights flashing closer every second. His right hand shot up to his shoulder wound, pressing down as he dodged between two cars. Spotting his destination a few hundred feet away. He jumped a chain fence, using his good arm to throw himself over. His shoes landed in the cool grass and he sprinted off towards the home, only hoping his final dodge between homes would be enough to hide him. He sprinted across another road, hearing the sirens fade and then return as he began to scale the tree. He went as fast as possible with a gash in his arm, throwing himself into the open window with as much ease as possible. He pulled the window shut, closing the bling with one arm and turning the light off, letting out a deep breath of relief as the sirens soared past the house.
