I looked over the pictures on my computer. Tyler and Miranda were a couple. I knew it and here was my proof. Well, that and Holly spilling every detail about them spending a lot of time together recently. All I needed was to finish on Jesse and Lisa and find out why they're the best of friends with each other, then it's done. A simple painless process and they're making a huge deal of it, which only made me more curious. What were they trying so hard to keep a secret? How bad was it? It COULD be Lisa being pregnant, but then again nothing is set in stone. The frustrating thing about all of this was that I had such a freaking HARD time finding out what it was that they were keeping. I NEVER took this long with a story. Ever. And the instructor for the school newspaper was getting antsy for my big exclusive story that I told her about. Well, this was a start to it.

The first thing I did when I got to my english class, was hand in the test with the forged signature. Mr. Peterson glanced at it, thanked me, then put it away in his filing cabinent. See what being a goody good all your life can get you? You forge your mom's signature and even though it might look a little different, the teacher always looks at you and says 'nah, they'd never forge their parents signature.' I used to be that girl. The girl who would NEVER do such a thing, much less even CONSIDER doing something like that. Now I just wasn't that girl anymore and I didn't know if I should look at that as a good thing or a bad thing. The cons about not being a goody good were......well, you were somewhat of a bad ass and you did some bad things, like me. The pros, on the other hand, were things like being free and not being so uptight all the time, like I was. I liked the fact that I loosened up and knew how to have fun now, though. Although I may have had too much fun at one point, I'm still happy that I loosened up. I came out of my thoughts as Mr. Peterson started class and the first thing that came to mind was him and.....Lisa. I still didn't get the chance to privately ask her what was going on between her and him. She had enough secrets as it was. Well, that and I could tell Jesse felt something for her. And while Mr. Peterson was about five years or so older than her, Jesse was only one. Jesse may be....a drug dealer and user and drinker, but he was cleaning up his act now. I didn't realize that I was staring at the teacher until he cleared his throat.
"What?" I asked.
"I said what do you think the true connection was between Romeo and Juliet? Was it really love or was it infatuation?" he repeated.
"Oh, uh....considering Romeo fell in love with Juliet just seconds after meeting her and......um, they fell in love pretty fast...I think it was.....I think it was....infatuation? Um, they were so desperate to be together and yeah," I guessed slowly. Mr. Peterson looked confused at what I had just said, as did the rest of the class.
"Okay....so you're saying that you think it was infatuation, not love," Mr. Peterson said. It was more a statement than a question, but I nodded anyway. I know he expected a more in depth answer than what I gave him, but I was distracted, so yeah.
"Alright, infatuation," he went on, but I didn't listen to him. I dozed off into space again thinking of times that I could ask Lisa about her and Mr. Peterson.

"24?" I guessed, not knowing what the hell the teacher just asked me. What something plus something times something to the something power was. I nearly bust out laughing when she told me that I was right. Lisa gave me a curious glance. One that said 'how the hell did you get that right when I KNOW you weren't paying attention?' I just shrugged at her in reply and she shook her head and looked back at the teacher. She went on and on about stuff, stuff I didn't care to pay attention to, when the bell finally rang, releasing us from class. I was the first one out the door with Lisa behind me.
