Patton and I watched Brooklyn 99,and I had to admit it was rather entertaining. I found myself continuing to watch it even after Patton left, and I resonated with Captain Holt.
It was Friday morning, a week after I'd met Patton.
I was greatly anticipating algebra at first period, due to the fact I had finished the extra credit work Mr Wallaby had given me to a T. As well as being my favourite subject, it was enjoyable too. This time there'd be no nuisances in the form of Patton to take away from my time in algebra.First period eventually arrived and I took a seat at my desk, Patton sitting next to me when he arrived.
"Ooh, love birds sitting together?" jeered someone in the classroom."Pardon?" I asked, confused.
"You guys are soulmates, you figured it out last week," they reasoned.
"We're keeping it platonic," Patton smiled.
"Oh... OK," they responded, looking confused and slightly uncomfortable, "Are you, like, allowed to do that?"
"Are you morally obligated to pry in on our private affairs, or are you just nosy?" I snapped.
"I bet they've already fucked," a girl whispered into her friend's ear.
"FALSEHOOD," I screamed, hating the accusations being made against me.
"Logan Keen! I wouldn't expect this behaviour from you, but you're disturbing my lesson. Please step outside and we'll talk about it in a bit," Mr Wallaby scolded.
"Sir, he was just standing up for himself, it's not fair," Patton protested.
"Do you want to join your friend, Patton?" Mr Wallaby scowled.
"Maybe I do," Patton frowned at the teacher, "after all, it was them who were being rude."
Mr Wallaby sighed and pointed to the door. I stood up angrily and took my bag, storming out the door, Patton at my heels.
"Why did you yell? You could've ignored them, Lo," Patton brooded.
"They were assuming things and getting it completely wrong! They think we... they think we..." I trailed off and sat on the chair outside the classroom.
"Hey now, Lo, I'm sure they'd understand if we explained it to them. When Mr Wallaby comes through we can ask him to have a moment of lesson time to clear up whatever they were saying in there," Patton smiled, sitting down next to me and comfortingly rubbing circles on my back. This calmed me down, and I took in a few breaths. I'd completely lost my composure.
"This is the most I've been sent out in a week, " I laughed dryly.
Mr Wallaby walked through the door and stood in front of us.
"Mind explaining what's going on?" he frowned.
"Well, sir, last week Logan and I found out we are soulmates, but we don't want to be partners or anything so we're free styling it by being platonic soulmates," Patton explained, "People don't understand this, so they were being rude about it, but I hope you wouldn't mind giving us a few seconds to explain when we get back in?"
"As long as you apologise too," Mr Wallaby agreed, looking at me.
"Now come on students, let's get on with the lesson."
We reentered the classroom and explained as best we could how we felt and I apologised for yelling. We sat back down and got on with algebra, which was all I'd wanted in the first place.
Sorry bout the short chapter gang
