I knew a weekend away from Noah and A.J was exactly what I needed. And no better way to spend it then with the person who knows you better than yourself. So I packed my stuff and headed up to the family lake house early Saturday morning. Noah was okay with it. He actually thought it would be good for me to hang out with Susie and to just get out of the house. Planning the wedding had taken up so much of my free time that I wasn't able to see the people most important to me.

"It's early as fuck," Susie said getting out of her car as I pulled into the driveway of our lake house.

"I know! But...." I reached into my cup holder and handed her a coffee.

'Ah, bitch ya know me so well." She took a sip "You're the best"

"I know that," I said jumping out of the car and grabbing my stuff. We walked into the house and unpacked our stuff. While Susie called her boyfriend to let him know that she got to the house safely I walked out onto the dock and sat down at the edge looking out onto the water. Sounds of boats passing by filled the air, not a cloud in the sky. It was a perfect day.

"Alright...," Susie said sitting down next to me. "What happened? I looked at her in confusion.

"How did you know?" I said.

"I know you didn't just invite me up here to relax and hang out, you've been stressing about the wedding since the day you got engaged to Noah. The wedding is next weekend and here we are at your lake house." She said looking out onto the water. "It's A.J isn't it." I took a deep breath and let it out through my nose

"Yeah, it is." We sat there in silence for a little and then she looked at me.

"Well," she said looking back out onto the water "You don't need to tell me what happened, I know you took me up here so that maybe I could give you the answers you are looking for, but I can't sweetie." She looked at me again. "This is a choice you'll have to make on your own. I'll support any decision that you make, but make sure you know what you want before you do anything." I looked at her and then back out onto the water.

"I'm stuck in-between them," I said. She threw her arms around me and pulled me in for a hug.
