*Roman POV*
I'm driving back to my apartment from work. It's late, around 9 PM, and I'm pretty tired and annoyed. The main cast for the show assumed I was the makeup artist and yelled at me for being late. One, that's just offensive, and two, they yelled at me for 10 minutes until the real makeup person arrived. And three, only one out of the five apologized. So yeah, my day hasn't been too good. Oh, and four, I wasn't late.
At least I'm getting paid and I'm putting myself out there. I guess this is just part of starting out as an actor, so I put up with it.
When I get back to the apartment, I do what I always do. Flop down onto the couch and groan. It helps relieve all the built-up stress I have.
"Welcome home, Ro," Patton says.
"Thanks. Work was awful again. How was your day? Any foes I have to slay for you" I ask.
"More of the same. Some classes, some homework, some attempt at baking," Patton says, "Although if you could slay one of my classmates who non-stop messages me on why I'm not doing his work, that'd be great,"
"I'll be sure to do that when we get home," I say, "So did your baking turn out?"
"Not well. We're out of butter now," He says.
"I'll go pick some up then," I say, getting up.
It'll give me some more time to cool off from today. I try to hold back and not be as dramatic as I could be with Patton, because I know he'll eventually get fed up.
"Sounds great. While you're there, can you get some cookies too?" He asks.
"Sure. I'll find some fancy British ones," I say.
He beams.
---
At the store, I'm browsing the isles. Turns out they have an American section here, which is just a bunch of junk food. I pick out some Chips Ahoy for Patton and grab some butter. They also don't sell it in sticks, which I find odd.
I take the bus back home, which I have gotten used to. I don't really like the bus, but the double-deckers are kinda cool. I'm glad I'm on the bottom one, though, as it starts to rain. This one has an open top.
When I get back, I enter the apartment to see it cleaned, with some candles and roses at the table. For a split second, I think I entered the wrong one.
"How do ya like it?" Patton asks.
"Patton, this is amazing!" I say in awe.
It's amazing and beautiful and I doubt anything I do for him will top this. I mean, it is simple but I love it.
"I figured since it's raining, we can have a romantic date in here," Patton says.
"That sounds wonderful, my love," I say.
Have I mentioned how adorable everything about Patton is? He just lights up with joy and it's amazing.
We have dinner together, even though it's around 9:30, and we just talk for a while.
After about an hour, we wash out dishes and put them away.
"Want to watch movies until we fall asleep?" Patton asks.
"Always," I say, "What do you want to watch first?"
We haven't really done that since high school. Even though that was less than a year ago it feels like longer.
"Hmm. How about Aristocats?" He suggests.
"Perfect," I say.
"Don't you mean purr-fect?" Patton jokes.
We break out the cookies, which Patton devours, and stay up until almost 3 AM. Surprisingly, I'm the first to fall asleep. Probably because Patton is on a sugar high from the cookies.
After a while, we end up watching the Sound of Music.
"Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens~" I sing.
"Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens~" Patton joins in.
"Brown paper packages tied up with string~"
"These are a few of my favorite things~" We sing together.
Patton giggles a little, causing me to break out into an even wider smile. Everything about him is my favorite thing.
*Logan POV*
I know Virgil doesn't really like big romantic gestures, so I've decided to just get him a small gift. I know he's been pretty tired, but I want to go on at least one date with him here in London. And possibly travel around the UK.
I don't really know what to get Virgil. I know he likes most things from Hot Topic, but I want this to be special. I also don't know if there are Hot Topics here. I know he also likes The Office, AtLA, secretly Disney, and MCR. Despite that, I am still terrible at gift shopping, which makes Christmas a figurative nightmare.
I'm walking around the city, looking for interesting shops and places I can take Virgil. He doesn't really like the public, but he likes the parks at night. No matter the weather. I pull up my hood as it starts to rain, covering my glasses in water drops. I take them off and put them in my pocket, deciding to just squint and hope I don't run into anything. I don't like cleaning my glasses, I always manage to smudge them.
After a lot of walking in the rain, I finally decide to just make something for Virgil. He wears the patchwork sweatshirt I made for him all the time. Just as I get home, the rain stops. I check the time, it's about 7 PM. I plan to ask Virgil in an hour or two.
---
I knock on his door.
"Yeah?" He calls.
"I am here to ask you on a date," I say.
It's been around 9 days since I did before, so it hopefully won't seem as though I'm pestering him to go on one.
"Sure. I'll be ready in a minute," Virgil says.
"Ok,"
I wait, and when he comes out he looks beautiful. Nothing about him is changed, he just looks beautiful.
"Hey, Lo," He says.
"Greetings, Virgil," I say, "I made you this,"
I hand him the small cross-stitch of a purple storm cloud. It took me around an hour, so I hope he likes it.
"I love it. I made you this, too," He says, handing me a sheet of paper.
I flip it over. It's a watercolor of us. I don't ask why he brought his watercolors here, considering I brought cross-stitch supplies here as well.
"It's beautiful," I say.
He blushes.
---
We spend the night in my room, just cuddled up watching Netflix like normal. Since neither of us like doing 'fancy' things, this is generally how our dates go. Which I am perfectly fine with.
You have no idea how deep down I had to dig to bring you this fluff. I hope you enjoyed it, and feel free to leave any thoughts, theories, or feedback in the comments. Have a splendid day/night you magnificent peep!
