*May POV*

My plan didn't have the desired effect. I've seen no change over the past 5 days. Either they kissed and made up or they didn't say anything at all. I'm really hoping they didn't say anything at all because it will make this all run smoother.

I wait around most of the day for the emo boy to come down, Virgil I learned his name is, and he eventually does, at around 10 PM. Very late. I approach him when he comes down.

"Hey, Virgil is it?" I ask.

He nods.

"I need to talk to you," I say.

He sits down cautiously.

"About what?" He asks.

"I've gotten several complaints about noise and behavior, all listing you as the one doing it. And the security cameras check out, I'm afraid you'll have to leave," I say.

"What? I- I didn't-" He stutters.

"Pack your things. You have two hours," I say.

Technically he's supposed to have 24, but I doubt he actually read the contract. And the sooner he's out, the better.

"Oh, and one more thing," I say.

He turns around.

"The boy in room 3, Logan I'm pretty sure, filed most of the reports. Whenever he sent them he said it was 'because of relationship issues'," I say.

The look of pure hurt in his eyes almost makes me regret saying that. Almost.

*Virgil POV*

I try to ignore the pure betrayal and sadness rising up in me and just go upstairs to pack my stuff. I pull out my phone and call Patton.

"Hey, what's up?" Patton answers.

"Can I come to stay with you guys? I just got kicked out of my place," I say.

I hold back my tears and keep my voice from cracking.

"Oh, yeah of course! I'll come to meet you at the bus stop," Patton says.

"Thanks," I say.

I throw my stuff into my suitcase and backpack and put on my headphones. I take one final look at my room to make sure I didn't miss anything. I hope I didn't.

I go downstairs, hand May my key, and leave. I take the bus and get to Patton and Roman's place without having a breakdown.

"Hey kiddo, everything alright?" Patton asks as I get there.

I shake my head.

"I don't want to talk about it," I say.

"If you're sure," Patton says.

"I am,"

We walk up to his apartment, and he tells me I can sleep on the couch.

"Thanks," I say, "I can pay rent to cover groceries and stuff,"

"No no, it's fine," Patton says.

"Ok," I say, knowing I am definitely going to still pay rent.

If I didn't I'd feel like both an asshole and not appreciative enough.

I manage to fall asleep that night, my entire body just feeling numb.

When I wake up, Patton's in the kitchen.

"Morning, kiddo," He says, "Ro's at work right now, you want some toast?"

I rub my eyes and sit up.
