(Kudos to my friend, Kumar for helping me with this chapter. The flashback was his idea by the way. )
I woke up to the sound of tapping on my window. It was raining. I remained in bed for some time, and then got up to prepare for uni. I felt too lazy to drive my scooter today so I called up a taxi. The driver soon reached my doorstep, and I left for uni.
The driver drove the route I usually take, but soon we were greeted with a detour symbol. "Looks like we have to take the long way, miss," said the driver. I nodded and we continued down the detour.I looked out the window as we were moving and one building caught my eye. No... it couldn't be THAT street. And that restaurant... I tried to avoid those memories so hard. But being right there, I was forced to remember.

Today the university assignments were hectic. I couldn't blame them because our exams were nearing so they had to rush through the portions.
I let out a sigh of frustration as I tried to stuff all my books into my bag. That's when I felt a hand grab the books from my hand. I turned around ready to give a mouthful but I stopped seeing him. I gave a weak smile and asked, "What's up?"
I spotted her standing in at the side of the hallways trying to stuff her bag with books. The bags under her eyes and the pale complexion told me that she wasn't having a great week. I shook my head and walked towards her as I grabbed some books out of her hands. She turned around with furrowed eyebrows and a really annoyed look. But on seeing that it was me she visibly relaxed and asked, "What's up?"
I replied, "You seem really tired, should I carry your books?"
She instantly shook her head and said, "No no, don't trouble yourself. I can carry my books."
Ignoring her words I leaned forward and took the bag from her. I turned towards her and told, "I won't take no as an answer."
She raised her eyebrow and was about to say something but was cut off by some giggles. I turned to see a set of girls smiling at us. I was confused and turned to Y/N to see her reaction but she looked equally confused as me.
One of the girls commented, "You both look super cute together" I raised an eyebrow and turned to see her blushing hard.
She said, "Actually we aren't dating," and threw a glance my way. That's when I realized that I haven't actually asked her out yet.
I turned to her and said, "Hey are you free tonight?"
She looked at me and replied, "Yeah, why do you ask?"
I smiled and replied, "I want to take you out for dinner tonight."
Her eyes widened in surprise and said, "Sure but where are we going to eat?"
I said, "Well I haven't decided yet but I'll think of something."
She nodded in agreement.
We walked back to my apartment while making small talks. When we reached the apartment I took my bag from him and said, "Thank you for carrying my books for me."
He shot a smile at me and said, "No problem."
I smiled back and said, "Hey do you wanna come inside and have some tea or something?"
He replied, "Nah it's fine, I have to go anyways. Oh and do wear something formal tonight. I wanna take you out to some classy place"
I said, "Are you sure? You know we can just go somewhere affordable right?"
