We had our last exam today and I'm happy to say that I did well. Finally, all the hard work had finally paid off. Soon after the exam, I went straight to the vending machine in our cafeteria to get myself something to drink. As I got a bottle of juice out of the vending machine, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Jimin standing in front of me with a comforting smile. I returned a smile of my own and said, "Hey, long time no see!"
He nodded in agreement and said, "I know right?! So how are you?"
I replied, "I'm good, what about you? What are you doing here?"
He said, "I came here to have some breakfast actually."
I raised my eyebrow and asked, "Breakfast? Isn't it too late for that?"
He said, "Well I actually woke up late today so I skipped my breakfast because I didn't want to be late for the exam."
I nodded as a response.
He then said, "I'm sorry for asking, You don't have to answer if you are uncomfortable but how long has it been since you both broke up?"
I smiled painfully and said, "It's been about eight months."
He then said, "Oh I'm sorry for asking, I shouldn't have..."
I shook my head and said, "It's okay. Don't worry about it."
He smiled and said, "Well I gotta get going so how about I see you later?"
I replied, "Yeah, sure! We have a lot to catch up on so let's meet sometime."
I walked out of the cafeteria with a small smile on my face. But soon the smile turned into a frown as I started recalling what had happened the night I met Jimin...

Finally, our exams had ended and even our first year of college was coming to an end. Things were getting relaxed in our college. Since it was the first Saturday where I didn't have to worry about assignments, I decided to spend the weekend sleeping and catching up on the unfinished k-dramas I had. I was about to start watching it when I heard my phone ring. A smile lit up on my face seeing the caller ID. Without any hesitation, I accepted the call and breathed out, "Hey, what's up?"
He said, "Nothing much. I just called to ask if you are free next Saturday."
I leaned back on the bed and said, "Yeah, why do you ask?"
He replied, "Well, my best friend's birthday is coming up and he invited me to his party. So I thought this would be a good opportunity to introduce you to my friends."
I commented, "Yeah, that sounds good. I will probably buy something to wear for the occasion."
He hummed and said, "Hey, I actually have to go now so how about I talk to you later?"
I replied, "Yeah, sure."
The next weekend was approaching fast and we were getting ready for the event. Since it was my friend's birthday, I was busy helping out with everything, so we barely had any time to talk. On Friday, I called her and told her that I won't be able to pick her up because I had to reach there early to set up everything. Instead I booked a taxi for her to come.
The party was starting at eight and I was starting to feel nervous. It was seven by the time I got out of the shower and I realised I was going to get late to the party. I quickly wore my dress and put on light makeup. I grabbed my purse and phone and quickly walked outside only to see the taxi waiting for me. I got in and told the driver to drive as fast as possible. It was going to be eight forty five by the time I reached the party.
