Just An Earthquake

"Okay then. Everything's normal. Let's finish seeing all these exhibits and get the hell out of here. " said Will.

"Wait! Where's Maria? She was here before- before that happened." Said Jane. Where was Maria?

"She'll be there dont worry. Lets go to the next exhibit. Maybe she's there? " said Will walking away from exhibit one.
Jane sighed and walked with her brother.

When they reached exhibit 2, Jane felt like her heart would explode with worry. She turned to look at Will communicating with her eyes , not wanting to say anything. Maria's not here. Nothing's normal. It was not just and earthquake.

Will looked back at her, reflecting the same worry in his eyes.

"At last! You slowpokes! I finished exhibit 3 like an hour ago. " said a voice from behind them.

Jane turned around to see her best friend staring at them with a smile on her face. She squealed and hugged Maria, squeezing her tight as if she was never going to let go. Maria laughed and hugged her back .
They both pulled away.
"Woah there! What happened to you two? Did you roll around in mud or something? " said Maria, staring at their muddy clothes with wide brown eyes.

Jane laughed. "No we just fell over."

Maria shook her head at her best friend. "God! Jane, i thought you of all people hated mud. You're a clean freak." She said laughing.

"Oh i am. Just dont feel like cleaning now." Said Jane grinning. She felt like a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders now that she knew Maria was okay.

"Alright then. Let's move forward shall we?" Said Maria and marched ahead laughing.

"Okay silly! Coming right behind you" said Jane laughing as well. She marched behind Maria, now both of them acting like they were in a parade.

Will stood there just staring at them both, his face expressionless.
