From A Cave Into The Unknown

A Pair Of Headphones

"Come on Will" called Maria, turning around.

He was still rooted to the ground, staring at Maria and his sister mimicking a parade march.

He sighed deeply and walked towards them.
"I think I'm finished with this place. Let's get out of here and eat lunch at a Chinese joint?" He asked them.

"Okay!" Jane turned to Maria. "Any idea where our parents are?"

"None" Maria said.

Will sighed.
"Let's wait at the counter." Maria pointed towards a counter placed at the exit, probably to collect their head phones. Jane agreed.

Will found himself saying he would join them in a few minutes.
He turned around and walked towards the exhibits. He passed exhibit 5 and reached 4.
He was about to walk back to the girls at the counter, when he saw a pair of headphones lying on the floor. He picked them up.
Only one family was allowed into the cave at a time, so the only people in the cave at the time aside from himself, were Jane, Maria and her mom, and his mother.

But Jane and Maria have their headphones and so do I and neither off the mothers would forget their headphones, He thought .

Just as he was about to turn around, something hit his head. Hard.

He saw stars in front of his eyes.
"Wha-" and he was smacked on the head again, this time so hard that he fainted.
Last thing he knew was that he was being dragged across the rocky ground and then everything went dark.
