It was late, they knew that. Did they care? Not completely. It wasn't a school night and they were their own persons. It was their time to spend with each other, a friendly ritual so to speak. It was common for the three of them to come together at one of their homes for a night or three. They were best friends after all.

Kaede groaned as he laid down, "He's lucky I only got his nose." It was four days after the beach incident and Kaede still suffered from his bruised side. "That was a rather good punch, training to tackle the sharks?" Kyoya casually asked as he shed his jacket and placed it on a chair that sat next to a dark wood desk. Kaede made a rather indecent gesture towards the bespectacled teen who quietly chuckled.

"What are you two going on about now?" A flamboyant voice questioned as a familiar blond walked into the room. Kaede looked lifted his head slightly to look Tamaki up and down before letting it fall to the bed once more, "I still think Tama would make divine shark food. Look at him. Radiates sparkles. Nice and shiny." Tamaki paused in what he was doing to send a unsettled look towards the two occupants, "I feel as if I should be concerned about the direction of this conversation. . ."

Kaede gave an evil grin as he sat up, making the Suoh heir bolt and hide behind their 'dearest mother'. "Protect me from this demon, mama!" Tamaki cried. Kyoya rolled his eyes, "I thought I was the demon everyone feared so greatly." Kaede sniggered, "more like the little gremlin that hides under the bed looking for secrets."

"If you weren't already injured I'd make you regret that statement."

Tamaki's poor excuse of withheld laughter, snorts and chortles, forced Kaede to laugh at how ridiculous he sounded. Kyoya rolled his eyes once more and made his way to the bed, choosing to sit with his back pressed against the headboard. Kaede rolled away, laughter still present, just incase Kyoya had planned a sneak attack.

"Why, dearest mama, that's child abuse, please spare the child you love!" Kaede dramatically cried as Kyoya glanced at Tamaki. "I've been thinking, maybe we should put him up for adoption. I'm sure someone else would pity him, take him in." Tamaki tapped his chin in thought, "we could but they would just send him back."

Kaede's mouth dropped open as he silently laughed in disbelief. He made a show of trying to get off the bed, "alright alright, I see how it is. I'll just go room with Haruhi. I'm sure she wouldn't mind feeding me delicious home cooked meals–." In which, just a second later, he was tackled back onto the bed by a flying blond and the words "she would merely kick you out" from a bespectacled boy going through his ears.

"Oi!" Kaede cried as Tamaki started a tickle war, something that the two partook in ever since they became friends. The two wrestled on the bed, trying to get an upper hand. Kyoya watched the two, slightly amused but mostly exasperated. They were like children, honestly.

"Alright! Alright! I give! You two are brilliant parents! I mean, look at me! Handsome child like no other! Hahaha!" Kaede laughed as he wriggled away from nimble fingers. Tamaki paused in his assaults, "hey mama, he finally admitted it! Look at our handsome shark bait!" Kyoya sniggered as Kaede once again went on a tantrum.

In fact, the joke about the shark was actually based on a fish.

"Hey Tama! Kyo!" A fourteen year old Kaede smiled as he greeted his friends. Kyoya looked up from a travel magazine, for Tamaki Kaede was sure, with a neutral look. "Kyo?" The bespectacled boy inquired about the sudden nickname with a raised eyebrow. Kaede smiled innocently as Tamaki tackled him in a hug, "yup–haha!"

Kyoya simply looked at him a second longer before going back to reading. Why bother? Honestly.

It was only minutes later that Kaede successfully managed to get the two other boys to go to the beach with him, curtesy of Tamaki who had Kyoya unintentionally wrapped around his finger at the time.
