A small breeze drifted through the gardens of Ouran Private. It made the sakura petals dance in the air and eventually take a rest upon the ground or in someone's hair.

Kaede Akiyama quietly chuckled as he picked a petal out of his dark hair. He inspected to for a few seconds, admiring its beauty. Kaede let out a soft sigh as he released the petal and watched as the breeze carried it away.

"Do you like the spring, Kaede-sama?"

Kaede turned to face where the question came. There was a girl, dressed in the same yellow dress as the other girls and her hair swayed slightly. He gave her a soft smile and a nod.

"Spring has always been a beautiful season for me. It seems like there is a new color around every corner."

He spoke with her for a few minutes. It was a part of his hosting duties after all, even if he wasn't an actual host that had customers. If anything, he preferred sitting at Kyoya's and his desk and making preparations.

Soon after, she left and her presence was replaced with Kyoya, who had sighed and immediately began to pick stray petals from Kaede's hair. Kaede let out a laugh at his friend's exasperated expression, "apparently I missed a few, hmm?" Kyoya rolled his eyes and pulled away the last petal, "just a few?"

"Okay, maybe a lot. The girl I was talking to a few seconds ago hadn't said anything so I figured I got them all."

Kyoya raised an eyebrow, "she was probably enjoying to view." Kaede scoffed and crossed his arms playfully, "as if I'm a good view in the first place. I'm sure the only good view I give is good food for a shark."

Kyoya's lip twitched upwards. "You're still not letting that go, are you?" Amusement dance in his eyes as he remembered a trip he, Tamaki, and Kaede had taken when they were younger. "As if I would! I could have died that day! And what did you two do? Laugh while I was trying to run away." Kaede pointed an accusing finger at the boy, his eyes narrowed.

"It was more like you trying to mimic that Christian thing where a man walked on water," Tamaki butted in, a playful grin rested on his face. He poked Kaede's cheek, who in return swatted at his hand and pouted.

"Go on you two! Back to work!" Kaede pushed the two away, finally over being picked on. His cheeks graced a bright red as he turned around with a huff. He took a glance back at the two to see Kyoya with his usual smirk and Tamaki fawning over Haruhi. Kaede rolled his eyes and pulled out a small notebook to write down a few reminders. Those two were going to be the death of him.

Kaede sweated as he took in the sight before him. Of course, it wasn't something new, but it was still a little weird to him. He watched uncomfortably as the club president had his little daydreams. The blond murmured a few things here and there and he sighed in content.

Kaede didn't even try to knock off the twins when they sprawled out on him. Honey stood off a little to the side of the three, he hummed quietly to himself before he perked up a little. "He's having fun, isn't he?" He asked cutely, looking at Kaede and the twins for a confirmation. "Is that so. . ?" Hikaru inquired with a huff. "He looks rather pathetic." Kaede let out a snort and looked down when the twins grinned at him.

"Don't envy me, Hikaru! Everything was all planned out!" Tamaki exclaimed, he looked as if he had an answer for every question that was asked. "Spring is, of course, a time for romance and comedy! From the beginning, Haruhi and I were romantic comedy members!"

Kaede stopped listening so he could send a smug look towards Kyoya, who mouthed what seemed to be that Tamaki hadn't asked yet. Kaede rolled his eyes and looked back at the taller blond who continued to spout nonsense.
