I knew it wasn't him, it wasn't me, it wasn't I.
It was us against us.
Him and I as a whole, fighting the parts of us that didn't fit in.
Because love wasn't easy, it wasn't perfectly shaped puzzle pieces made to fit together.
It was our duty to carve out those pieces and make sure they fit in the best way possible.
Our love wasn't simple, it wasn't just the weight of two puzzle pieces that had to fit in together.
Our decisions affected everyone around us, and so with the alterations we made so we were as perfect as can be, the final image had to be changed.
Maybe what we got in the end wasn't what we wanted, or expected.
But we were together, we were us, we were happy, and we were so in love.
It wasn't him , it wasn't me, it wasn't I,
It was us,
and I couldn't be happier with the puzzle we had managed to make.
