I grabbed my American Eagle Flannel and a white tank top, First I put on the tank top and then the flannel, I buttoned all the buttons except the top two like I always do. After I finished getting ready, I grabbed my phone and water bottle, went downstairs and turned the TV on. I put on a Christmas
movie on and laid down when my phone vibrated. It was dad!"Hey dad, are you okay? I've been worried sick!"
"I'm okay, just in pain. I figured you were worried so I called."
"Worried, I was scared over eleven hours and I'm just now getting a phone call."
"Hold on a sec."
"Okay?"
"Hey honey I'm with dad and we have the baby so don't worry about him."
"Oh okay, I didn't know you left."
"Yeah I figured, I left around nine AM."
"Oh, hey, can Charli come over, so I'm not alone?"
"Sure. Actually I'd rather you not be alone at a time like this."
"Okay, love you I'll talk to you later."
"Okay, she's already on her way isn't she?"
"She was supposed to be like a half an hour ago, but I don't know what happen."
"Oh that's weird, well I'll call you later, and I have my cell phone just in case. I love you sweetie."
"I love you mom."
2:00PM
I picked up my phone to text Charli when-
Knock, knock, knock
"Who is it?" I yelled
"Charli!"
I jumped up and opened the door.
"Jesus Charli, what took you so long? I was so worried!"
My mom couldn't find her car keys and then I lost my phone looking for her keys."
"Oh okay, you are an idiot you know that?"
Charli smiled and shut the door. I locked the top lock-
"Lola?" Charli whispered in a concerned tone
"Yeah?"
"You're wearing a flannel."
"Ok and?" I half laughed
"Lola, you only wear flannels when you-" She stopped mid sentence, realizing what I had done...her face dropped instintly
"No, no you did not, Lola tell me you didn't."
I walked into the kitchen and didn't say a word to her.
"Dammit Lola!"
"Charli...I-"
"Why Lola? Why? You have been doing so good and then you ruin it." she cut me off. Just as I open my mouth to try an explain she cuts me off again.
"You know what I don't want to know. What's done is done, but if it happens again so help me God I will tell the principle, the guidance councilor, and your parents...and that will just be the beginning."
She goes to say something but stops, I can't help but wonder what it is she was going to say, but I decide on not asking her. I walk back into the living room and lay down on the couch. Charli came over and laid next to me... practically on me, but it was comfortable so I didn't ask her to move.
