Charli's POV

"Hello?" My mother says as I take the phone from Lola, press it to my ear, and go upstairs.

"I-I don't know" I lie

"Don't you lie to me Charlotte. Why is this boy calling?"

Shit

"What boy? Did he say his name?" I avoid her question

"Answer my question Charlotte." She is getting annoyed now

"I already told you mom I don't know."

"Well than you can call him and ask him why and then when you get home I'm taking your phone." She says and hangs up

"Fuck." I whisper to myself

I turn my phone on, find his name, and hit call.

"Hello?"

"Are you fucking kidding me Elijah? What part of I'll call you first did you not understand?!"

"I forgot damn calm down."

"No don't tell me to calm down my mom is pissed and is taking my phone when I get home."

"For what? For having a guy call your house? For all she knew you were tutoring me. Wait you're not home?"

"No why?"

"Where are you?" he ignores my question

"At my...friend's house. Why?"

"Lola's?"

"Yeah why? You're not coming here she'll be pissed."

"Why will she be pissed?"

"Because she's my....best friend and she is going through some stuff"

"Oh well I'm already in my car. See you soon."

"Okay." I say and hang up

"CHARLOTTE SOFIA!" Lola screams on her way upstairs to her room. I stand up and wait for her to reach her room.

"Do you want to explain to me what the fuck is going on?" she says as my phone vibrates in my hand.

"I'm here" It says when I look at the screen

"Lola it's nothing I'm tutoring him." I say as I walk downstairs

"Are you fucking kidding me?! Don't lie to me!" she screams as I open the door.

"You don't want to believe me fine then don't I don't give a fuck!" I scream at her as he walks toward me and wraps one arm around waist and one arm around the middle of my back.

"Hey hey hey what's wrong?" he asks as I cry into his chest I take a step back and turn around to see Lola wiping her tears and shutting the door behind her.

"Elijah there's something I need to tell you." my voice breaks at the end

"Whatever it is it can wait." he says as I picks me up and cradles me into his chest until we reach the passenger door. He opens it and sits me down on the seat.

"Hey look at me." He says as he tilts my chin up so I look straight into his crystal blue eyes. He kneels down in front of me and gently wipes my tears from under my eyes.

"I'm not stupid I see what's going on-

"Elijah I can explain-

"And I'm not happy that you cheated on her with me, but you mean to much to me for me to just let you go back inside that house."
