Chapter 23 - How You Like That?

Around right o'clock and Irene's visitor slowly flooded into her house, her girlfriend Seulgi is the one who arranged everything together with their workmate/bestmate Jennie who is still stucked at the traffic along her way.

Irene took the drinks and arrange it on the set up mini bar.

"Where's Jennie?" the birthday girl asked her girlfriend who answer her with a shrug.

"I'll call her." Seulgi said before she walks outside the house and went to the least noisy spot.

After Seulgi left, Irene finished arranging the drinks and went to Rosé and Lisa's table together with some of her workmates.

"Hey." Irene tug her arms around one of her workmates neck. "You seems enjoying each others company huh?"

"Hahaha Irene unnie. this girl is really a mood! She's so funny!" Rosé said a bit slurry as she sip another drink..

"Yah. Im not funny, im cool!" the woman with a heart shaped lip hissed. "Beside Lisa is so funny too!!"

Irene shift at Lisa who is a bit red from drinking.

"Woaa heavy drinker??"

Lisa's POV

I thought its just a simple celebration and i guess im wrong, the party was huge and theres a lot of visitors around our age. The party lights illuminates to every corner of my eyes, everyone looks so happy, so is this chipmunk enjoying the company of Irene's workmate.

"Where's Seulgi?" i heard Rosé suddenly asked, her face was red and i can tell she's already having more that she can take.

"ow yeah where's that girlfriend of yours??" the small girl between us asked, her name was Jisoo.

I drank another glass of and slammed it back on the counter once I was done.  I looked over at the server and motioned towards the bottle on the table. "Can I have another glass please?" I missed the taste of alcohol.

"Well she called our....Oh there she is!!" Irene blurted pointing at the direction behind me. I look back to see who it is and there a woman wearing white longsleeve together with a girl wearing black coat and shorts approaching us.

"Jennie!!!!" Irene squealed. Jennie?

Feels like I've heard that name before.

Before I even realized it, the girl was already out of the crowd and standing frozen in front of us.

"It's you," she said to me, sounding like she was going to cry. "Lisa..."

She knows my name? Wait. That voice.. . .

All of a sudden, she took my hand "I'd never thought I'd see you again." I've heard that voice.

But then, what on earth is this girl talking about? Was I that drunk? Am I just imagining things?

I didn't know how I was going to react to be honest. I didn't want to be rude, but I really didn't know her. I slowly pushed her off me in the gentlest way that I could.

"Excuse me? How do you know me?" I asked.

"Yeah Jennie? you know her?" I heard Irene spoke and stood in between us. I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder and it was Rosé.

"Rosé?" Jennie said.

"Uhm Yeah. Irene unnie. We met at the uhm..park! Yeah right Jennie?" Rosé said making up stories.

I just stared at her as I tried to process what was going on. At least I think I didn't know her. She looked really familiar though, I just couldn't put my finger on it. She had wavy, brown hair that dropped just below her shoulders. Her catlike eyes looked like she's about to tear up.
