Blake's pov

"After you Miss Hill" I said with an unreadable expression once I noticed she was having an internal battle wondering which one of us would step out of the elevator first.
"O...of course sir thanks" she mumbled and I nodded not sure if she noticed because he eyes were on her feet after we exited the elevator I guided her into my office
"So Miss Hill take a sit and I'll explain your contract and what is expected of you" I said while walking to my chair
Once she was settled I started explaining everything to her
"This is just a formal contract all i need is  your signature, how much you will be paid is stated on page 2, including your living arrangements, you..."
"My living arrangements?... I don't follow sir" she said looking confused
"I was about to explain that Miss Hill before you interrupted me" I answered annoyed for being interrupted
"Am sorry sir please you may continue" she says apologetically
"All my previous secretary/PAs all had a two bedroom apartment in my residening building this helps for the "flexible hours" I spoke of yesterday, I won't want to be responsible for putting my staffs in danger beacause of late working after working hours so this arrangement is much easier and safer having them in the same building and always available" I explained
"But sir I am perfectly happy with where I live at the moment" she argued
"Tell me Miss Hill how long did it take you to get to work and how did u get to work today?" I questioned already knowing her answer will prove my previous explanation right.
"Well not so long about 45 minutes and I walked to work I don't own a car and there are no subways around my area" she replied in a low voice
"Exactly my point Miss Hill, so this arrangement is more than comfortable and appropriate for both of us,..also regarding the car the company has a contract with Uber this helps with your much needed transportation, now that is out of the way I need you to sign on page 4 for this contract to be approved" I said
"But Mr Alfredo I can not accept all this"
"Miss Hill you accepted this job yesterday if am not mistaken so this is just an addition to the job by the way all my previous secretary/PAs accepted and don't worry everything was renovated and redecorated so it looks like a completely new apartment" I said starting to get irritated.

After a few seconds of hesitation she picks up the contract and open page 2 then her eyes widened like saucers
"FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS PER MONTH!!.....no no Mr Alfredo that is not reasonable at all" she screams
"Correcting Miss Hill it is, an average secretary earns two thousand dollars per month in an average company but this is a multi-billion dollar oil company hence that pay is more than reasonable although it was cut down due to other added parts that comes with the job" I reply with a smirk
"B..but sir what will I do with so much money" she questions still in shock
"That's up to you to decide I just need you to do your job properly and be responsible" I say with a shrug
"If you say so sir"
"Sign in page 4 please we have other things to discuss" I said waiting patiently for her to sign once she was done signing I gave her an extra copy of the contract.

"Now if you follow me I need to show you your new office" said while walking into the room bedside my office's book shelf opening the glass door to led her into a medium sized glass office with two 24hours chairs, a mini desk with a laptop on it, the office had a TV which is needed to display the oil market and of course a wooden shelf.

"This is your office Miss Hill the curtains are controlled by a remote if you ever need them,..now to the TV is for displaying stock market, next to it on the right is an Apple 11inch iPad with the Apple iPhone 11 pro max of course the most important is the Apple MacBook Pro "core 19" i explained
"These are the very best gadgets you can ever need to help you work faster and efficient, yes they are company property but they are for your personal use, and they have there respective WiFi connection so there won't be a problem" i said although after I was done explaining I looked at Miss Hill and she looked pale I was scared she would faint again

"Miss Hill did you get all I just said" I asked with a worried expression on my face
"Y...yes Mr Alfredo I did but this is all to much am overwhelmed and these Apple gadgets are so expensive is it really necessary" she asks looking like she was spoked
"All these are necessary Miss Hill and trust me you will get used to these gadgets it will take a bit of time but you certainly will" I replied with a smile it's refreshing to meet someone who doesn't care are using the least expensive gadgets but as long as their work is done they are satisfied.
"I don't think I know how to use all these sir" she mumbled
"Not a problem I'll call Katelyn to help you out, I'll try and not make today too stressful for you so you can adjust properly" I responded
"Thank you so much sir I really appreciate your generosity and kindness" i nodded acknowledging her words and was about to walk out of her office but forget I say "ohh before I forget there is a button under your desk it is to answer the intercom and also your have a Bluetooth earphones that is connected to my office phone if I can't answer them the calls will be transferred to you so you can take the whatever messages are for me" I explained
"Alright sir I think I got all that ...is there anything you need me to do for you " she asks smiling at me
"Not at all, I'll send katelyn in to help you adjust Miss Hill" I replied and walked out of her office.
