Katelyn's pov
My first official week of work was a breeze, I'm happy with what I have done so far and my boss is not too demanding so my work isn't stressful.
At the moment Katelyn and I are in my apartment about to start our new tradition Friday movie night.
"Chéri can you hurry up or I will start without you" she calls out from her spot on the couch
"Just a minute I am getting the snacks" I call out from my kitchen
"Don't forget the marshmallows" she calls out again
"Katelyn why don't you get up and help me so this can be quicker" I snap because she keeps demanding for things yet she just sitting down in the couch doing nothing.
"Hold your horses, am coming to help"
Once we are settled and under the blanket we start watching what men want laughing our heads off at some scenes
"I wish I had this gift so I know what Chris is always thinking of" she suddenly says half way through the movie
"What do you mean" I say turning to face her
"I mean I wish I knew what Chris thinks off, he is always acting weird I don't know if he likes me or not, this has been going on for almost 6 years yet he hasn't made a move"
"I had a feeling something was brewing between you two" I wiggled my eyebrows at her remembering her blushing last Saturday when Chris and Drew came to get sleeping Fiona.
"Th...there is nothing thing going on well not that I know off, but I can't bring myself to be with anyone else ever since I meet him I just you know liked him" she says flushed
"Ohh that means you are in love Katie, liking someone for that long isn't a crush anymore but it's love" I say shocked at her revelation but smirked at her blushing state
"N...no no am not in love? I can't be in love nothing has happened between us" she stutters blushing at my words
"Nothing has to happen Kat..."
"Enough about me, don't you have any love interest" interupting me to divert the attention from herself to me
"I don't have any love interest, I just never found the anytime for dating my life has been to hectic" I say laughing slightly
"I find that hard to be you are a very gorgeous lady although you don't fluent your features" her words makes me blush
"But do you have any idea where you family might be, has anyone tried to reach out to you" she hesitates while asking if I was willing speak of my past
"No one has, but I am perfectly fine with or without them for 5 years I have taken care of myself and here I am still surviving" i answered quickly starting to feel uncomfortable about the subject.
"But what if they could not reach out don't you want to finf them and know why they haven't" she pressed on
"Even if I want where do I start Katelyn, I have no memory of my past the doctors said it will come back but I still can't remember anything, the only memory I get is when I woke up in the hospital 5 years ago" tears roll down my eyes overwhelming even more
"Mon amie am sorry I didn't mean to push you, I just want to to help you out by finding your family, because I know how it feels to not have you parents around" she says hugging me tightly this makes me break down even more
"I don't even know my birthday, I have been living my life as if I feel from the sky not knowing where I came from" the tears quickly turned into water works
She hugs while I cry out 5 years worth of tears on her shoulder, its not that I don't cry but the difference was this cry made me feel lighter like I didn't have to do anything alone because I now have someone to confined in.
Once I calmed down she says" I don't want to force you into anything you don't want to do but I was thinking, what if we let Florian do some investigation, to find your family" she says wiping my tears with her shirt sleeve
"I don't want to be a burden Katelyn, you don't have too"
"Please chéri let me help you, I have grown close to you and seeing how much pain you are in hurts me" she says wiping the few tears that she didn't get before
"If you say so, I would like that and I really am grateful to have you as a friend" I pull her in a bone crushing hug after we pull apart I offer her my chocolate making her laugh.
"What will you do about Chris though" I say after a long silence
"Nothing I guess, I will just wait and see what he does" she shrugs
"Hell no Katelyn, you are helping me out so I will help you too"
"Hmmmm what do you mean, from the look in your eyes I can tell what ever you are planning won't be fun for me" she narrows her eyes at me
"Ohh don't worry, this plan is to give Chris a little push let him know what he has been holding back from" I respond already formulating a plan in my head to help my shy friend
"Whatever you say just don't make me look stupid" she says pulling me into one more hug before we continue with our movie night.
