chapter 17

Blake's pov

It's been more than 2 hours and we still haven't received any information about Miss Hill's condition. Katelyn is so anxious she has been pacing the room even though we all told her to calm down, she said she can't calm down until she finds out about her friend.

"Are you guys here for Katelyn Hill" an elderly man wearing blue scrubs spoke

"Yes we are" Katelyn immediately answered
"How is she doing doc"

" For now I can't say if she will wake up or not although the surgery was successful"

"What do you mean you don't know if she would wake up" drew asked

"Well the accident was fatal and also her body was not strong enough to make it through she is lacking essential vitamins that boosts the human body and immune system, her lungs collapsed during surgery but although she was revived she is a medically induced coma" the doctor explained

"No no, Florian, dis-moi que ma petite ira bien, je ne peux pas la perdre aussi(Florian please tell me my little one will be alright, I can't loss her too)" Katelyn said as she cried harder, all this was painful to watch i know being in a hospital she is  reliving that day when I parents passed away.

"petite soeur(little sister) calm down you will get sick, please just breathe" Florian said hugging his sister, Katelyn didn't stop her crying so she was given a shot to help calm her nerves.

"Doctor what caused her lungs to fail" I asked curious

"The patient is ahsmatic, unfortunately we were not informed, it was a close call's he explained.

"We didn't know either doctor" I said frowning because I never saw signs of her being ahsmatic

"The patient cannot receive any guests now, so I suggest you all go home and rest, come in tomorrow and you will know where her new room is" those were his last words before he left us.

As the doctor advised we left the hospital, Chris carried Katelyn bridal style because she fell asleep, I held a sleeping Fiona in my arms with Drew beside me while Florian and his wife decided to go home after chris promised to take care of Katelyn although she would be staying at my apartment because of Fiona.

2 hours later

The air was so tensed although the TV was on we were all lost in our thoughts

"She doesn't know where her family is,she woke up in a hospital 5 years ago with no memory, even the name she is using if not her real name" Katelyn said walking into the living area,we all watched as she settled next to Chris resting her head on his shoulder.

"How did I not know about this, and you though now was the right time to tell us" I asked with a lifted eyebrow

"That's because I only found out yesterday Blake while during our movie night, why didn't you do a background check on her" she spat out annoyed before recoiling back into Chris who was now side hugging her

"Drew please call up Flo and tell him to look into Miss Hill's family, hopefully we can find them before she wakes up" I said to Drew who was beside me, standing up to make the call.

"Is fifi still asleep" she said looking at me

"Yes, she is but am sure soon she would be awake"

"Am hungry" Katelyn says after a huge silence

"I would make something for you but brother dearest has banned me from using his kitchen" Chris said causing us to laugh

"Wise decision Blake"

"Hey, I expected it from them but not you Adela" he said smirking

"Don't call me Adela, and you can't blame Blake you almost burnt down his house" she says in-between laughs

"If I can't call you Adela then at least I can call you mon amour (my love)"

"Of course not Chris" she pushed his shoulder although we could see the blush on her face

"You guys should date already" Drew said forging annoyance once he was done with his call

"Oooh shut up, it's not like I have seen you with anyone lately" Katelyn said hiding her face in Chris's neck

"He is right poupée (doll) once this is all over I am taking you out in a date" Chris says strocking her back, we heard her mumble her answer into Chris's neck because we all know she was full blown blushing.

"Flo and Rachel need to know that Chris finally had the balls to ask her out" I said laughing

"Whatever brother I don't see any woman by your side"he said smirking

"That's a low blow brother" I said laughing

"Instead of cooking let's order takeouts am sure you are tired Blake today has been a long day" Katelyn said interupting our bickering, we all agreed on pizza so I quickly ordered our food.

"DADDY!!!" I heard Fiona suddenly call out

"DADDY" she calls out again quickly standing up I ran  towards her room with the others behind me

"DADDY" I heard again by the time as I got to her room she was crying heavily

"Fifi, what's wrong" I asked scooping her in my arms

"I had a nightmare daddy they were coming from me, and they also took Merida"" sheid crying

"No one is coming dear,you are safe here, don't cry love, and Katelyn is also safe" i said rubbing her back to calm her down

"Is she ohk" Katelyn said once she stepped into the room

"Yes she just had a nightmare"

"Ohh mon bébé (my baby), come to tante Katie" she took Fiona from my arms carrying her out towards the living room while I followed behind.

"What a day this has been" I let out a sigh as I sat down on my previous seat, we all did our own thing as we waited for the food to be delivered.
